Has anyone done a vow renewal where its just you and ur wife/husband? Is this even possible or do I have to have guests? If so, all I would want is my parents there. So it would be the 4 of us together. I wouldnt mind having it on the sunset point at the poly and have the reception dinner at CRT. And have pics done and of course video. If you had a vow renewal, could you tell me how it was and how it went, and how much it costed? Anything you can tell me would be great! Thanks.

Disney8704, yes, it is possible to have a vow renewal with just two people -- the bride & groom. And with such a small party, you could certainly have the ceremony at Sunset Pointe (only small-sized parties may use that location). I have read of many intimate vow renewals over the years. They've all sounded absolutely lovely.

I had a custom vow renewal 2-1/2 years ago. There were 22 of us in my party so it was on the small side. The ceremony was held inside the Wedding Pavilion, while the dinner party was held inside the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park. It was the most ~magical~ night imaginable. The Fairy Tale Weddings folks really did a lovely job with everything.

I've shared parts of my story in a couple of old trip reports: click here and click here. I'm sure a multitude of links are broken in those trip reports, so here is a link to my main photo album regarding my vow renewal: click here. By the way, neither of those trip reports are complete. One of these days I hope to rectify that situation (hope springs eternal).

Have fun researching your upcoming vow renewal. There are lots of folks here on the Dis who can answer just about any question that you might have. However, for the definitive word on anything, you must ask the Fairy Tale Weddings folks directly.

I am thinking about doing the same thing... it would just be me my husband and our daughter... I need help... I am going to surprise my husband with it... :)

Hi Theresa...as Janet2k mentioned, yes, you can certainly do a wedding/vow renewal with just two people. DH and I were married at Disney and it was just the two of us. It was an incredible experience, one I hope to "repeat" with my own vow renewal some day.

The only thing I wanted to mention about Sunset Point is that it is now only "seasonally" available (I believe October through May). The location, while breathtaking, is very much out in the open and there is no protection from the sun/heat/rain, etc.

Anyway, check the links and the Disney Weddings website and then you can come back here with any preliminary questions you have. And again, I agree with Janet2k, we can share our experiences but Disney is the final word!;)
