If someone had asked me two years ago if I was able to run a half marathon, I would have laughed at them. I was 269 pounds and could barely huff and puff up and down stairs.
This weekend, I ran my first half marathon at Disney. I'm sure that my final time will make people go ehhhh (I finished at 3:06 on the dot due to an injury, was shooting for 2:30)...but in reality, not even a YEAR ago I could not have done this. I lost 116 pounds and said if the weight ever left, I'd run one of the Disney races...and there I was.
And yes, I totally cried when I crossed the finish line, and the floodgates completely opened when my husband and I met up at the finish line party and he told me how proud he was of me.
Here's my new shiny that I am so proud of...and my weight loss progress pics
