Back in the day, My family and I used to love a long gone resturant at the Polynesian called Tangora Terrace. They had these lumberjack pancakes that were huge and awsome. They also had the banana stuffed french toast. I liked the pancakes. We have eaten at Kona Cafe (which has the toast) and it is our current favorite but I was wondering if there are others we should try. Buffets are nice but the food is generally the same at all of them. We are looking for some good, original breakfast.

I really like the breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace. They have a few unique items like puffed french toast and breakfast lasagna.

Somehow I'm willing to bet that the breakfast buffet at Boma's is not the usual run of the mill scrambled eggs....

Boma's for sure. I love it and so do my kids. I could eat there every day of our trips. The have the best juice that they bring you immediately upon sitting down. A wonderfull tropical mix of different fruit juices. They also have lots of "different African dishes" and then the regulars. They also have carved meats at b-fast as well. It is fabulous!:thumbsup2

We love Boma and Spoodles.

I really liked Boma when we went in December. As a previous poster stated it wasn't just the usual stuff (although they did have the old favs).

I also really like Crystal Palace (buffet).

Boma's has an awesome breakfast and definitely not "run of the mill...." Though plenty of options for picky eaters like my family :thumbsup2

Kona Cafe - Macadamia pancakes are out of this world :cool1:

Crystal Palace - Kind of "normal" breakfast food but it is also very good!

I read that you can request the Tonga Toast at the O'Hana character breakfast. And...it's all you can eat!!!

Best stuff on property?

Sweet potato pancakes at Boatwrights, POR.

Tonga Toast at Kona or Stuffed French toast at Boatwrights. Hands down, no questions asked.

I enjoyed the 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and of course the CRT breakfast. Both VERY good breakfast that our family enjoyed. The food was plentiful at CRT and if you wanted anything more of anything, they were more than happy to bring it to you. Also, the 1900 Park Fare's buffet had a wide variety for everyones taste buds. Gotta luv those Mickey waffles :) :)

has anyone eaten the buffet at Cape May's Cafe? I've heard people talking about it on the podcast. I have reservations there for next week...what are your thoughts?

I ate at Cape May 2 years ago. It was nice. The food was good as in all character bfasts. I didn't find anything on the buffet that was unique to Cape May. We always enjoy the character bfasts.

Boma is our first choice, Kona and Cape May tie for second and CP for third

The sweet potato pancakes at Boatwrights are just awesome!
Breakfast at Cape May and Crystal Palace are also great!!

The best breakfast is at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.
