Another Spice Road Table fan, they have small plates so you could get one and your boyfriend could get something else. I've never had a bad experience there.
For a nice dinner, I'd say Monsieur Paul, but it's pricey. If not, I'd go for dinner at La Hacienda--love the atmosphere there. Biergarten was a bit too noisy for me--like more relaxed if I can get it at Disney.
Biergarten is the only restaurant at all of WDW that I must go to every time I'm there. I loooooooooooove that room, and the oom-pa band.
...and they have salad, roast beef, roast chicken and roast potatoes on the buffet, along side more "german" fare. You can't find something to eat amongst that?
Tutti Italia is good if you like Italian....best calamari! I also like Yorkshire County for fish and chips. Otherwise my favourites are all ones you've been to (Teppan Edo is our all time favourite).
If you've liked both France restaurants, I doubt you're THAT picky! I can't find anything I like in any French restaurant...
I would say San Angel too, I don't ever remember what I had, but it was a neat place.....and I would think that almost anybody could find something to eat at Biergarten! I really like Rose and Crown too, even if you're not staking out a spot for Illuminations....
I too vote for Spice Roads because of their small plates, great pitchers of Sangria and great outside location to view Illuminations if you time it right.
I would suggest that you look at the Disney Food Blog for reviews and the Disney website for the menus. We do that before we go so we can see what the options are for food and plan our food budget.
I also love Spice Road Table... although if we all keep talking it up, it will no longer be the best kept secret in Epcot
My mom is a picky eater, but I really wanted to eat here and we could get a reservation to watch Illuminations. She got the sliders, which she enjoyed, but she loved the hummus fries that came with it (seriously, they were amazing, who would've thought) and the melted Brie appetizer we got. It had a jam on it and was delicious, especially with the hummus fries. And she put some of the melty cheese on the sliders and said that was great. We split the chocolate pyramid for dessert. Fabulous food, location, and service.
Here is another vote for the Biergarten. In addition to the German fare they had a selection of what I would consider "traditional" food. Meats, potatoes, and vegetables.
