FP+ reservations are coming up in a month or so, and now I'm antsy to get our schedule firmed up. Would anyone care to take a crack at helping me improve upon this?

Background - we have DS8 and DD3. MIL is with us too, probably her last time at WDW and she adores it, so we threw in a few things we wouldn't normally do, like going to
AK just to see Lion King.

Sat 11/29: Arrive at BLT around 3. Put away grocery order and relax. Chef Mickeys at 5:35. MK FP+ for after dinner.

Sun 11/30: Breakfast at the Wave, whenever we wake. MK FP+ starting at 11. Casey's Corner lunch, back to room for a few hours nap/rest. Epcot in late afternoon (I realize we will hardly scratch the surface here).

Mon 12/1: DS birthday! Bkfst at Gastons Tavern around 9. MK FP+ starting around 11. BOG lunch around 1. Break in later afternoon and return to
MK in evening for QS dinner.

Tues 12/2: My birthday! CRT at 8:15. MK FP+ starting at 11. Lunch at Columbia HH. Back to room in early afternoon for long break.
Dinner in room. MVMCP tonight, will be out late.

Wed 12/3: Sleep in. Brunch at hotel. HS around noon.

Thurs 12/4: MK am with FP+. QS lunch at DTD. Boys Disney Quest, girls shop. BBB at 2:40. Back to hotel. HDD at 6:15

Fri 12/5: Chef Mickeys 8:55 am AK in morning, only to see Lion King. Hop to MK, FP+ in afternoon. Avoid Main St due to parade taping. 1900 Park Fare 6:15 pm

That's a lot of time in MK. Do your kids not want to do much in the other parks?

DD15's favorite park is Epcot and DS13's favorite is AK. DS7 can't choose which is his favorite - he loves them all! I just can't imagine spending that much time in MK and skipping so much of the rest of the "World."

Sun 11/30: Breakfast at the Wave, whenever we wake. MK FP+ starting at 11. Casey's Corner lunch, back to room for a few hours nap/rest. Epcot in late afternoon (I realize we will hardly scratch the surface here). Agree! We didn't even bother going into the countries much, we hit a couple and my kids were like "meh" so our second trip we just stayed in the Future World and enjoyed that.

Mon 12/1: DS birthday! Bkfst at Gastons Tavern around 9. MK FP+ starting around 11. BOG lunch around 1. Break in later afternoon and return to
MK in evening for QS dinner. I would rather eat the food in Contempo Cafe than MK, just my opinion. Seems less hectic and the food is way better.

Tues 12/2: My birthday! CRT at 8:15. MK FP+ starting at 11. Lunch at Columbia HH. Back to room in early afternoon for long break.
Dinner in room. MVMCP tonight, will be out late. Probably I wouldn't be hungry for lunch after a big breakfast, maybe just a snack for the kids?

Wed 12/3: Sleep in. Brunch at hotel. HS around noon.

Thurs 12/4: MK am with FP+. QS lunch at DTD. Boys Disney Quest, girls shop. BBB at 2:40. Back to hotel. HDD at 6:15 That isn't a lot of rest time between DTD and HDD. With all of the construction and traffic in DTD leave extra time for transportation.

Fri 12/5: Chef Mickeys 8:55 am AK in morning, only to see Lion King. Hop to MK, FP+ in afternoon. Avoid Main St due to parade taping. 1900 Park Fare 6:15 pm You couldn't pay me to eat at Chef Mickey (ever again) once, much less twice in one trip. What about Tusker House? Same crew, better food. I would skip the sit down breakfast and get to AK early and let those kids loose in the Boneyard. That was one of my kids' favorite things to do!! My kids would definitely prefer enjoying a park to sitting down in a restaurant eating sub-par food.

I would not want to spend the early morning time in MK eating breakfast at Gaston's. If it were me, quick breakfast in the room or grab and go, rope drop MK, then do the giant cinnamon role at Gaston's for a late-day snack.

I think you have a lot of eating planned. I do think you need to plan for more time for rides, and swimming. I don't know if your kids like that, mine do. We went the week before Christmas last year and it was hot.(80) So we went swimming every afternoon . Just a thought in case its hot. Between buses and FP and dining, it just looks like you'll be busy. My kids get cranky when I plan to much(which I did for 6 years) Now slow and steady, relax and have fun. Some of your days it seems you'll be running to make it. Sometimes you can't get 3 Fp in a row, something to think about. Your birthday at CRT is great! Love it! Just give yourself more time. Time goes by fast when your having fun!

I, too, would skip Chef Mickey's breakfast on the last day. While my family loves that meal (and breakfast in particular) - IMO, if you're going to AK for one thing...I wouldn't do an 8:55 breakfast...Figure get out of there to catch a bus around 10...By the time you get into AK it will be around 11.

I would hit AK all morning. I know you only really NEED to do one thing - but doesn't sound like you usually spend much time there - so try something NEW! If it was me - I'd hit it early (is it extra magic morning hours that day - sometimes is on Fridays) - Get there right at opening...Do the Safari, EE (if the older child likes roller coasters), Tough to be a Bug and NEMO (if you like shows - this one is AWESOME). Then go to Lion King and leave. Should be around the same time but you've gotten to see/do a BUNCH of new and different things.
