Ok, here is what we have so far.
Who's going?
Me (26, love all the rides, love the characters), dd (1, likes the rides that she can go on), ds (turning 5 on our last day of trip, loves rides), my mom (will go on rides but doesn't mind missing some of the bigger ones here and there) and my grandma (will have an ECV, has only use of one arm, will be taking it slow and will probably head back to the room a lot, most likely will only go on the gentle rides and see some shows)
A little more info:
We just did a 5 night Disney cruise followed by 5 days in Disneyland at the end of September. Got a great TA deal to go in January 2012 so pounced on it. Since we just got back, this will be a slower more relaxed trip for us. I'm wanting to do some of the "slower" things we missed last time, like animation academy, playhouse disney, princess fantasy fair, world of color (had horrible spots in Sept, couldn't see, so left after 10 mins). We're dedicating a day to just enjoying the hotel/pool and downtown Disney too.
The Plans:
Friday night or Sat morning
-drive to Disneyland (coming from BC, Canada)
Sunday
-Arrive at PPH some time, depending on when we left, lol.
-visit the pool, have dinner (depending on when we get there, if it's late, then just to bed I guess, lol)
Monday
-breakfast in PPH concierge lounge, grab drinks/snacks for the day.
-Visit one of the parks
-maybe come out around lunch for rest and snacks at pph lounge
-Dinner at ???
Tuesday
-breakfast in the lounge, grab snacks/drinks for the day.
-visit the other park
-maybe come out around lunch for rest and snacks at pph lounge
-Dinner at ???
Wednesday
-this will be a pool/relax day, maybe visit downtown disney, that kind of thing.
-in and out of the lounge for breakfast and snacks
-Dinner at ???
Thursday
-breakfast in the lounge, grab snacks/drinks for the day.
-last day to do/see anything at both parks we may have missed or would like to do/see again
-maybe come out around lunch for rest and snacks at pph lounge
-Dinner at ???
Friday
-breakfast in the lounge, grab snacks/drinks for later
-do any last minute shopping at downtown Disney if needed
-check out and head home
**Is there anything nearby that we might want to check out on our way home? I'm thinking it will be too cold to head to a beach in January, lol
**Anyone ever check out the redwood forest? Would it be entertaining enough for young kids (1, 5)?
**Any suggestions for where to have dinners? We want to get the most for our money without breaking the bank. If we are still hungry after, we can always try to grab a snack from the PPH lounge.
We'll probably have one character dinner at Goofy's for the kids.
**Anyone know if we are allowed to use the pools at the other Disney hotels too?
**Any tips/advice for us?
Thanks for anyone that can share some advice. I love these boards and know that I can get way more from all of you here, than I can find on my own!
