Ok everybody knows the Fab 5 are at the Epcot character spot. There is one wait time for all five, all in a row. But... We walked out of the room and made a left turn down the hallway. There were more characters, with only one or two families in line.

After seeing Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy, we saw Chip & Dale, Marie from Aristocrats, and Sleeping Beauty. We went out the doors to Club Cool, and when we were done we poked our heads back in and Belle was there. So after a 35 minute wait, we saw 10 characters!

Go get 'em and have fun!

That does happen sometimes, but they are not scheduled to appear there. Was it raining by chance?

Ahhhh it probably was.

Yes - you found their rain location!

But don't let that deter future Guests, the area also frequents lots of random characters. Examples of who I met in the last couple months: Max, Jiminy Cricket, Ariel, Vidia, Tinker Bell, Dr. Facilier, Cruella, Jane, and others.

Do you have to go through the Fab 5 line to get to these characters? I have older kids who don't care much about the characters other than the rare ones. My DS17 has been searching for Max and Rabbit (from Winnie the Pooh) for 14 years!

No, this hallway is accessible at least two other ways. I haven't seen a report of a Rabbit sighting in a very long time.

You can go through the entrance by club cool.

Epcot Character Spot is awesome! We've never been lucky enough to catch any rare characters there, but, we love it! I only wish they would include Daisy into the mix. With the her being such a major player on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and them being called the Sensational Six, I think she belongs there.

I believe recent reports have Donald leaving ECS in the near future and being replaced with Daisy. Unless I'm remembering wrong. Never heard "Sensational Six" before.

Donald and daisy are at DHS in front of the turnstiles off to the right before rope drop.

Right outside near the side of the fountain facing into the park we met Max, rafiki and briar bear.

I have also seen Brer Rabbit here twice. You might not recognize him though as he looks more like the Quick Rabbit than Brer Rabbit!

Rabbit is out at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party usually...

The way we do Epcot:

1. Arrive before park opening
2. Get Soarin FPs
3. Do Character Spot
4. Ride Test Track standby
5. Ride Mission Space standby
6. Ride Living with the Land
7. Ride Soarin with the FP

(we typically experience almost no waits at all using this strategy).

Then, we just sort of meander around for the rest of the day, going wherever our inclination takes us (sometimes, we don't do any additional rides other than Spaceship Earth, which we usually don't do until mid to late afternoon).

We've seen Max twice at characterpalooza at DHS.

It's so funny because we hear about a whole bunch of Max sightings every year right before we go but have never been lucky enough to catch him. We catch characterpalooza a few times every trip, but no dice.

We asked about Rabbit last year at AK and the CM in the front of the park said he was in Camp Minnie Mickey right then. I clarified that we were looking for Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh and she said, "yes, from Winnie the Pooh". We ran back there and found Thumper. I knew it wasn't going to be the REAL Rabbit, but we had to take the chance. Poor DS.

Unfortunately, the only location you're likely to catch Rabbit now is MK. Rabbit made random appearances at DAK in 2010, I met him at Epcot last fall, but those chances are pretty slim to none now. I have him listed as Discontinued for Epcot, I never had the chance to see him at DAK.

While it's been almost two years ago, I did see Rabbit in MK about three days before Christmas in 2010. It was in Pooh's old spot (before this new one--so along the construction wall). They were rotating Pooh/Piglet, Pooh/Tigger, Pooh/Rabbit nearly all day. I saw Rabbit earlier in the morning but I discovered he was leaving very soon and they didn't know if he would be coming back. After lunch, I found the Tremayne's and I was talking to their handler and she was very helpful. She told me to go get in the Pooh line right then and that Rabbit should be coming back in about 25 minutes. I got in the Pooh line (it was really long!) and saw Rabbit come back out in about 25 minutes. After about 20 minutes, I started to worry that they were going to take him back before I got to him. However, I had a great stroke of luck! The Tremayne's handler showed up to "help" with the Pooh line and she went to their handler and I saw her point back to where I was. Sure enough, I was the last person in line to see them as they left when I was done.

He does appear, but it is rare.
