Wannabe DVC'r awaiting ROFR BUT planning Sept disney trip

Hi all!

I am SO excited and fingers crossed that my 50 pt contract passes ROFR (just sent)..... We will need to rent or transfer anywhere from 8 to 20 points for a 7 nt stay in Sept,

I think that Disney allows me to do this one time per year at $15pp?

Do I have any other options for add'l point add-on to my reservation (once I CAN actually reserve it, LOL)?

I see many trades or transfers have a point minimum.

Those are referred to as "one-time use points" not actually a transfer.

Transfers between DVC Memeers are allowed, but are limited to only ONE transfer, in or out (not both) per use year per membership. That is why most owners prefer a larger transfer.

You could pay cash for the one or two nights you don't have enough points for if they were available for cash through MS. Then they would be included as part of your reservation and you should not have to move.

Deb & Bill- is this allowed the one time per calendar year? Or you just pay the advertised room rate for 1 night you mean? No special price for DVC member?

I think Deb & Bill is referring to booking the cash room through DVC Member Services. Usually a DVC Member cash room booked through Member Services will get you a 25% discount off of rack rate. But, the discount isn't always available and it applies to DVC resort rooms only.
