Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Happy saturday warriers.

I saw we have not only one new member, but 2!!! That's doubly exciting. Lovely to have you both here, Becky thanks for the intro- we'll drag more details out of you in time :rotfl: Cobbler, don't forger to tell us all about yourself when you next pop in.

Barb- fantastic totals for this week and i'm so impressed that you went out so late in the day, that's proper dedication.

Tracy- great job getting that walk in after such terrible weather. Also, what's this about hoping to do the minnie? Is another warrier preparing for battle :woohoo: I'd love to meet you!

Jeff- that's a brilliant week report, sorry about your comp issues

Roxy- a circuit hour then over 4 miles of running- you're amazing.

3Disneykids- again a great run and weights oh you're inspiring me to want to try some weights and stuff. Maybe that's something i could add next week.

Jen- WTG on 2 miles, especially with the fun distraction of a snow day and also poorly kids. That's one massive flu reaction. I hope you've managed to avoid it so far.

Lily that sounds like a long medical day. maybe it was a good thing your son was busy hey? Keep taking care of yourself. You've done so well this week i hope you're really proud- we are!

Carrie- good job on 60 min run, i want details (he he i know i'm demanding!)

Me? I did 4.8mile run in 47mins followed by 0.2 mile cool down and brief 1 min walk in middle that i haven't counted in distance. 5mile total 53mins. Someone bought me a nathan bottle belt (speed 2) so i took it out today and love it!!! It sort of sits on my bum rather than around my waist so might look a bit weird. Workin and sleepin next few days so have a good weekend :grouphug:

(wow mammoth post- sorry!)

Mix up guys Cobbler in going to Hakuna Matata. I did several and it got mixed up. I'm sorry I'll have me beaten.

Silly Panda:hippie:

we'll forgive you... eventually. Nice to see you tho :goodvibes

Hello...just sneaking in here since I did absolutely nothing this past week - DD was home with the flu. I'm on full-time Book Fair duty for the next two weeks, too, so even if I do get out my numbers won't be too high. I'll try though! :)

does pushing mowing a 1/4 quarter of an acre count please tell me it does.
And putting mulch down for 30 minutes in the yard. Last 6 bags of mulch are done.:) And before surgery whoo!!!:cool1:

As crazy as it sounds, I'm a bit jealous that you have nice enough weather to have to mow, lol! (OF course, I was allowed entrance to the YARC, so I guess that should be considered normal for me.) Oh, and I soooo think that mowing should count - that's one heck of a workout!

My Saturday - Friday totals this week were:

72.45 miles in 6:04

+ 1.5 hours weight training

I have been at work for the last 48 hours & have been unable to contribute anything. Sorry.

But I will hopefully get on the road today..................:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hello all you warriors!!!

It a great day here in South Florida! Temp right now at 11:12am is 58. Clear, clear blue skies with no humidy and a slight breeze:flower:. Come on down and visit, because this will only last for about 2 days, and then it will start to warm up a bit.

I got up and did my walk today at about 8am(time change sucks) temp was about 51. I really don't like walking outside with that temp, sorry, but I don't, I hate layering, then having to peel while walking then the thing with the nose running, ugh!! But I warriored on and got it done!

Warmup & down: 1minute
Walk: 5.10miles, 1hr:16min:20sec.
Stretch: 1minute.

I'm off the do some:laundy: and watch the #9 car of Kasey Kahne!! ;)

Take care all you Wonderful, Willfull, Wage-Earning(hopefully), Witty, Warmhearted, Wise, Wasted (some, but not all) Worthy, Wacky, Wishful, Welcoming, and WINNING Walt's Warriors!!!!:grouphug:

3/8 Saturday: 7 miles on bike, .6 miles on TM, 50 min total
3/9 Sunday: 0 travel day

This past week I didn't get my LR in on Sunday, so I'm thinking about trying to do it tonight instead of XT. I know they say if you have to skip it try not to make it up, but i just really feel like I need to at least run some. My next LR will not be until Sunday, so I should still have time to re-coup.

The aquajogger class was a dissapointment. I seriously thought I was going to be jogging in the water, but it was more ab work/leg work, cardio type aquacise just in the deeper end of the pool with the aquajogger belt on.

Skiing was nice. I didn't ski, but did get to the small fitness center they had. I got in some good biking there. I ate like a PIG!!! I've gained 2 lbs. This week I'm getting my head back in the game though. I need less sweets, no more soda and more water! We really have to cut back on our spending so I am going to try to cook at home more and hopefully that will help us eat healthier too.

I know some of you guys have been sick... I hope you are feeling better!!!

I see lots of activity going on!!! Keep it Warriors!!! :thumbsup2

Hey PR! Where in Maine are you? I am down in Kennebunkport. Any races planned? I am considering to the Beach to Beacon, but it is SO crowded. We have one here in town on May 4th that I will definitely be doing, but I haven't decided on any others yet.

Ok--today I logged 3.2 miles and a total minutes of 65 (running plus weight training again today). :goodvibes

3DisneyKids: I am signing up for Beach to Beacon. There is a group of us Super Goofs doing the Great Bay Half in Newmarket NH 4/6. I am also on the fence of the MDI marathon. PM me about the race in your town. I am far, far away, JK lol, I am in Norridgewock, about 1.5 hours north of you!!

Hey kids- I haven't done anything because of whiny flu-ridden children, but so far I've somehow avoided catching the flu! (or it's hiding in my system building up its strength...)

I've barely even been checking the boards but I did see that Becky joined us!! Woo hoo! Becky and her sister Jen rock!:cool1:

So, I thought I would pass on some interesting news...

First of all, I've cured myself of my marathon leg injury. I started thinking about how I bought some new shoes in about November- they were so soft and cushiony! Unfortunately, when I bought them (on-line- can only blame myself), I forgot about the whole pronation issue... then I bought two pairs to have for the Goofy. Yep, clasic self-inflicted injury. Anyway, new better shoes have taken away all the leg pain!

Second point of news... so you know how you laugh when you hear someone ran a marathon not knowing they were pregnant and you think they had to be morons... Turns out it can happen! Yep, baby #3 ran the Goofy with me. :woohoo: :scared1: Luckily I was having so much fun chatting with WISHers that I'm sure my heartrate was never a problem! I'm 12 weeks now, so when I find out the gender in a few weeks, I'll be requesting name suggestions. My DH is big on the family name thing, but I'm thinking there are so many names going way back, that if one just happened to be Disney related and a family name, who'd know?!

So that's what's happening in my life. Any opinions as to whether I should consider the Minnie this year (at a beat the sweeper pace)? DH was just saying he wanted to go to Disney in the spring, and the Minnie popped in my head... :rolleyes1 (this is from someone who is going to have a baby in Sept and then just race the sweepers in the half in January...)
