Me again! :rotfl2:

I yesterday found out that it looks like i can't go on my very dear friends hen weekend in less than 3 weeks, consultant isn't happy to give me the all clear to fly just yet! :sad1:

So, to try and take my mind off the guilt :guilty: and sadness that i'm missing out on a very special weekend i've thrown myself into planning our December trip.

We always say we're going to try Walts and have as yet, not made it, so this year.....WE WILL EAT AT WALTS!!!! :cool1:

We plan to do a 'quick lunch' on our first day, was wondering how people found this? Also, what choices do they have for children when doing the lunch option?

TIA for any replies :wizard:

Carrie Cat posted the new menu here, it's post no. 114 and the quick lunch is the first menu. I don't know about the children's quick lunch options, if you scroll down to the last photo the children's menu is on there, maybe they could order the Grandma Flora's Chicken? :confused3

Make sure you do go to Walt's - it's absolutely my favourite restaurant. :thumbsup2

Ah thank you for that :thumbsup2

Walts is one of my favourite restaurants in DLRP.

The change of pace as soon as you walk in is noticeable. We did the express lunch during last years visit. It was our last day and we had a late flight so wanted a late but good lunch. I did a review at the time (see page eight of the Walts review thread) but in summary, was good:thumbsup2

Watch out that they actually let you order from the quick lunch menu - it wasn't automatically offered to us...

Childrens meals were fine - both of ours had breaded fish (or giant fish fingers as we described them)

Steaks are yummy, staff are indifferent:rotfl:service is hot and miss but despite all that, I'd go tomorrow!

Sorry, I did mean to edit my previous post to say what a shame you'll miss your friend's hen weekend  but I got a bit distracted watching The King's Speech. Hope you get the all clear very soon and enjoy your planning in the meantime. :wizard:
