As the story goes, Walt Disney placed his daughters on a old dingy carousel then sat down on a weathered park bench and in his

disappointment thought, “there must be a place where children and adults can go and play and enjoy themselves”. Out of disappointment

come great things. For giving my wife and sons lots of laughter and great delight, thanks Walt.

Pictorial example of great delight.

I agree!! Where else could we go to have so much fun, etc. if there was no Disney? It truly is a Magical place.
Thank you Walt!!!

Thanks to Roy too . It was Roy that made it possible for Walt to be able to do the things he wanted to do. You can have all the great ideas in the world but it takes good business sense to turn them into reality. Walt Disney World, which is the correct name, was supposed to be called just Disney World, after the two brothers.

I thought I read somewhere that Roy himself was the one who insisted on the name change to be "Walt Disney World"?
