Walt's apartment light

I did not see the light in Walt's apartment this trip? Has anyone else noticed this or did I miss something?

I noticed that when we were there last month. I kept wondering if I just wasn't seeing it due to reflection on the window or something. Then I kept forgetting to look at night to be certain....

They also turn it off whenever anyone from his family is in the park out of respect for their loss. It could have been because of that.

thats right ur right becuase .. the thing was that if the light was on it meant to the CM's in the park that walt was staying that night in the park in the apartment. and if it was off it meant that he was not ..

at least that is now i heard it

but now that he is passed on, they do turn it off for respect.. and when the family is not there they turn it on..because i have seen it on..

Since Walt Disney's Death it has been an eternally lit lamp. I have noticed that it is harder to see in the Daylight than at night.

I shoot this with the zoom on. In the Morning.

I was told that they replace the lamp with a Christmas tree during the Holidays. While I was there last week, I took a pic of it. Kinda dark. But you can tell they're Christmas lights...and you see an outline of a tree.

The anniversary of Walt's death was December 15th..maybe it was turned off to recognize that?

Yep, there is always a light on in the window. A lamp during most of the year, and the Christmas lights during the holidays.

Yes, it is on every time we are there (which lately has been a lot, LOL). We always say good night to Walt on our way out of the park.

That is what I saw. I knew it was always on but did not know they replace it with a Christmas tree during the holidays so now it makes sense.

We do exactly the same thing and good morning to the Partners when we enter. Weird.

ditto..I think that those of us who are Walt fans as well as Disney fans feel a special kinship and appreciation. I've heard rumors that at some point, in DCA, they will put a Partners statue of a young Walt as he was when he first came to California..hope so

I've heard this too, while I think that would be excellent I havn't seen it in any of the concept drawings. We'll see soon, but I'm ok with going to DL to see Walt's park.

I don't think it is weird at all. But that could be because we also stop at the hub when we first arrive to say good morning to Dumbo (the statue).

I love the little 5 second detour past the partner's statue and Dumbo when we arrive. It just starts the day for us
