The most pleasant and relaxing and magical music is the continous loop on Walt Disney World Today (channel 19 on TV at all WDW hotels).

Now then...when will this wonderful music be made commercially available?

We'll buy the first dozen CDs.

All the best. :thumbsup2

I LOVE :lovestrucLOVE:lovestruc LOVE that music. Every single trip, once we arrive in our room, I send DH and the kids to the pool, turn on that channel and unpack and organize our room to that music. Every night after everyone has gone to sleep I put it on and write in my journal. I joke that it is the background music to my vacation.
I listen to different Disney stations on LIVE365 and some of them occasionally play it. :music:

We consider it a unique pleasure to correspond with someone who "gets it" regarding a special aspect of WDW. And certainly you qualify. Music is the element which connects everything at WDW, from the martial-like drum beats of the approach at the entrance of Buzz Light Year and the music that plays outside Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the high octave e-flat delivered on some of the codas sung by the Voices of Liberty and the brilliant bass solos performed by Dave Lowery of Mo Rockin.'

Walt Disney World Today (Ch. 19) represents the epitome of WDW musical magic. It is more than just background music and yet, one assumes, many hotel guests just don't "get it." In fact, we suspect many upper echelon WDW execs don't "get it" as well.

We pen daily journals as well.

All the best. :thumbsup2

I couldnt agree more!

For our first trip to MK, I felt something was missing in Fantasyland and other parts of the park. I've been to Disneyland about a hundred times but I couldnt put my finger on it until it hit me - The Tea Cups were closed for repairs so there was no mad hatter wind/organ/whistling music playing in the backround. That totally makes for the experience! Plus, the disney railroad was not operating (total bummer I missed it) so you dont hear that voice announcing the station and arrival of a train.

The sounds make for the TOTAL disney experience.

Well said!

The only way we could capture the Walt Disney World Today (Ch. 19) soundtrack was to record a few tracks on our smart phone. The quality, of course, is lacking but at least some of our favorite melodies from the channel are with us. All of the instrumental tracks on Ch. 19 are performed in a unique way that elevates them beyond the status of mere "background" music. Again, if a CD was offered commercially we would be the first to make a purchase.

All the best. :thumbsup2

I found a pretty good quality video of channel 19 here, http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=relmfu&v=QHVn9_P2tCY. There are several others. They're not the complete loop but what the heck. I know this isn't available to purchase but you can still listen to it.

THANK YOU! We have it playing right now...and it's playing one of our favorite melodies!

We also see other youtube entries for Channel 19.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Happy to help. The music at WDW is one of the things I love most about the place, especially the Epcot BGM.

LOVE this music!!! We purchased 2 CD's at WDW last year that were very similar to this and I listen to them all the time! "Classically Disney" and "Disney's Fairytale Weddings." They're hard to find in the parks...I think we got them at MouseGear in Epcot.

Next time you're at the parks I might download the shazam app if you have a smart phone. When you hear a particular song you like you can always right down the orchestra who plays it and download it from I tunes/amazon. You could gradually build a channel 19 playlist.

Another WDW Today fan here!:)

I was surprised during my Holiday last month to see they had moved WDW Today to Channel 4 and Stacey to Channel 5 and they now have a whole Channel just for DTD.:)
