Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

I didn’t use a certificate. So maybe I’m misunderstanding what y’all are talking about. But did get the promotion of the booking 4 nights get one free using points.
Ah, yeah. Someone said a few years ago they were able to use FNCs towards the 4 nights for the free night. None of us have been able to do that so we were digging for any recent DPs (it's not supposed to be a thing and indeed there were no recent DPs). The buy 4 get 5th night free on points is, and has been, good to go. Congrats on your free night!

Wondering how checkin works here. We will be arriving early next month around nine am. Wondering if the pool is locked/gated, and if there's a place to change before your room is ready?

I just looked to book two nights at the Dolphin for Dec. 10 & 11. Price on the flexible rate page for AP was $240, including the $50 resort fee. When I continued to the page to select the room, the price was now $265 a night. I did it a number of times, and each time was the same. Not too happy about this. I guess I will need to call and find out what the actual price will be.

Edited to add that I called and spoke to inhouse reservations. I was told that the rate for AP is $265/night. I told her that I'm looking at the website as we spoke, and it says $240/night. She didn't have an explanation. Feels bait & switchy to me, so I'm not booking it for now.

If you’re using the full calendar flexible rate page, it doesn’t include the resort fee. The resort fee is included when you bring up the rates for specific dares.

It says that it does include the resort fee on the page. Take a look at it. Says it does right on the page.

Can’t explain what the OP saw, but I’ve noticed that the flexible rate calendar doesn’t give the true price.

This happens-annoyingly- all the time. Couple that with what they actually charge for a deposit vs what the confirmation email says and it adds up to a frustrating experience. OTOH, even with fees and taxes, it’s still cheaper than YC/BC/BW.

That's absolutely true, and I will likely book in the future. I like the hotels, but I don't like the tactics.

Does anyone know if Swan and Dolphin will move my luggage to the contemporary for me? I really want to stay here but With both of us bound to ecvs - moving luggage is an issue.
