I stay at the Swan in dolphin frequently. When you check in, use the chat feature in the app and nicely ask if a complementary upgrade to an alcove suite might be available, they won’t tell you right away if they can grant you the upgrade, upon check in at the front desk you could also ask if a complementary upgrade to a larger room might be available. Depending on how busy the resort is you might just get lucky!I thought about booking a no view room. Maybe I should have and taken the chance. We are booked into a deluxe resort view balcony room so I’m not sure what the upgrade would be from that if by a slim chance we got one. More space would surely be nice.

I would call The Swan/Dolphin reservations desk directly. I've also had luck emailing them at: reservations@swandolphin.comHas anyone had trouble getting assistance from the Swan/Dolphin in-house reservations line for a stay booked with points?
I need to change an adult to a child, but doing it via Marriott costs me more points. Was hoping in-house reservations could help me out, but they barely even heard my question before transferring to Marriott Bonvoy.
Any ideas? Maybe I just need to call again and hope I get another person?
When I had a points booking, I had to an occupancy update I need to make similar to yours, and I emailed here: reservations@swandolphin.com, with the booking number and what I wanted it updated to. They did it no problem. If I remember correctly, in the MB app it never updated, but for the MDE app, it was correct so no issues with matching tickets to the room.Has anyone had trouble getting assistance from the Swan/Dolphin in-house reservations line for a stay booked with points?

Didn’t know about the 2 hours of free kid camp with select dining reservations. Is that a normal thing or a summer promo?Informative summer guidebook. Lots of good information here, lots of photos.

I seem to recall that in the past. Never used it but was aware of it. I'm sure it was discontinued during COVID time, and maybe reinstated recently.Didn’t know about the 2 hours of free kid camp with select dining reservations. Is that a normal thing or a summer promo?
Interesting - where it talks about the Little Mermaid at Disney's Hollywood Studios, it says, "Just a quick bus ride or a scenic stroll from the Swan and Dolphin." Shouldn't that be "boat" not "bus"? (I'm referring to the Sizzlin Summer Guidebook from the link posted above.)Informative summer guidebook. Lots of good information here, lots of photos.

Yes. I don't know of any bus service to DHS or Epcot.Interesting - where it talks about the Little Mermaid at Disney's Hollywood Studios, it says, "Just a quick bus ride or a scenic stroll from the Swan and Dolphin." Funny story I've shared a few times here. After having stayed at the Swan maybe 15-20 times, back maybe 15 years or so ago, I was going to go to Epcot. Well, I got all ready in my room, headed downstairs and out the front doors to the bus stop. After seeing a constant parade of Disney buses (pre COVID days) for AK, MK and DtD over maybe 20 minutes or more, I'm wondering where the heck is the Epcot bus. A few minutes later I do a palm plant on my forehead. I get up, walk to and through the lobby, and out the back doors to the boat dock. DUH!!!Yes. I don't know of any bus service to DHS or Epcot.
Idk about the price match but did you check the refund policy? I thought I had a better deal but then realized I was comparing different refunded policies.Has anyone here had the any luck using the Marriott “best rate guarantee” for a Swolphin stay?
I’m seeing Priceline deals that are well below the price booking through Marriott for the same room category.
The only thing I’m worried about being Bonvoyed about is that the PL price includes the taxes and fees in it (still below the base Marriott price). Will they try to use that to say it’s a different rate I wonder?
I should have clarified that this isn’t an opaque deal on Priceline. It’s a clear/open published rate. I believe that open advertised rates are eligible but opaque deals are not.@MarBee I am pretty sure the best price doesn't included things like Priceline etc, it might also be only corporate owned Hotels, which S&D is not. Much like you won't get Bonvoy points or night credits when you stay at Priceline and other similar discount sites.
In the end it is up to Marriott to accept the lower price or say sorry but no. And you only have 24 hours after your initial booking.I should have clarified that this isn’t an opaque deal on Priceline. It’s a clear/open published rate.
