Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

I would think they should show up now in the MDE app/website. If not I'd get on a chat or call with Disney.
Yes, the tix do show up in made but they want to know when/how they get the physical tickets. They aren't getting magic bands. Do they not need physical tickets? tickets?

They have really pushed going without a physical card though the use of the MagicMobile but if they want cards I think they can get them at check-in or at the onsite Disney planning centers at either Swan or Dolphin. For the hours/locations of those the SwanDolphin Mobile app has the most up to date information.

I booked a Swan Reserve room on points, so of course that is a traditional room. I emailed to inquire about the possibility of an upgrade since we are 4 full grown humans (2 teens) and was offered a Queen Suite for $100/night. The rep said it is 2 queen beds in one room and an additional space. I can’t find any photos of what a Queen Suite is online. I’m wondering about the extra space…living room or table area? Can anyone guide me to what this Queen Suite is?

@luvallprincesses I wonder if its part of the Grand Suite there are also some Alcove rooms, but those aren't shown online. S/D had some rooms that don't show up, so it could be one of those. Did they give you any idea how much extra space they have? I wonder if it could be the Family Suite with two queens, or something similar.

I received a further explanation from the rep that it is a Signature Queen Suite with a view of Epcot. My room type has now been changed in the Bonvoy app and describes it as 2 queen beds, sofa sleeper, Epcot view, 610 sq ft. I understand that there are various layouts of the signature suites as far as sitting areas and bathroom layouts, so it will be a surprise. But for $100/night considering I used points and certificates for the entire 8 nights, yes, please, I’ll take it! I’m so excited!

I thought that check in was at 3 but it looks like it’s at 4 now?

how likely is it I could get early check in? Arriving on a Saturday. Plane lands at 1:30 and we are taking an Uber so at hotel probably around 2:45? (Unsure how much time to plan for between wheels down and at hotel). reserved a grand suite.

thanks

Where does the bus from the Dolphin drop off at Animal Kingdom? I know at MK the drop off is the TTC, just wondering if there’s some different area at AK or if it’s where all the other resort buses are. Thanks!

While there is no guarantee either way, in my experience the suites (non-standard rooms) take longer to clean and may not be ready until 4. YMMV

Hi All, we have two little with us and will be getting groceries. I assume a gallon of milk can’t fit in the fridge, could two half gallons? Thanks!

@hedberg1661 I agree, I know part of the reason is they are a DVC resort, but sure would be nice to have more selection. But those little fridges are pretty small at S/D. BTW good tip on the distilled water at the Screen Door.

I have been able to get distilled water at all WDW owned resorts regardless of DVC so that is nice. The water isn't kept cold so at least the fridge is not an issue. I have actually stayed at a few Marriott properties that provided a complimentary gallon of distilled water upon check in. That was a real nice touch for a really small cost to the hotel.
