Walt Disney Travel Company verses Florida Escape quotes.

Just thought I would share a quote we received from Florida Escapes with a comparison of booking directly from the Walt Disney Travel Company UK.

Florida Escapes
15-nights OKW studio, 21-day Ultimate tickets, free dinning, $200 gift card; £2,883.
15-nights OKW 1-bed, 21-day Ultimate tickets, free dinning, $200 gift card; £3,712

Walt Disney Travel Company UK.
15-nights OKW studio, 21-day Ultimate tickets, free dinning, $200 gift card; £3,115. (less 3% Quidco £93.45) = £3,021.55
15-nights OKW 1-bed, 21-day Ultimate tickets, free dinning, $200 gift card; £4,030 (less 3% Quidco £120.90) = £3,909.10

Florida Escapes for 15-nights is therefore £138.55 cheaper for a studio and £197.10 cheaper for a 1-bed.

They also stated they're a partner of Disney UK so they can offer exactly the same benefits as can be seen on the Disney UK website which includes: FREE Exclusive Magical Extras and the $200 gift card.

The extra saving of £138.55 for a studio is equivalent to receiving another $200 gift card and when adding both together should more than cover the tips for the free dining.

I've never read any negative feedback on completed holidays booked through Florida Escapes, so any feedback from those who've already used Florida Escapes would be much appreciated. Have a good weekend everyone.....

No you can't call Florida Escapes for a quote, they say on their web site, their aim is to give you the lowest possible prices so they don't operate expensive call centres, so they can pass on savings - making our products incredibly good value!

We found the same thing.even when quidco is taken into account the savings were good.we have booked with florida escapes for next october.3 weeks at okw in a 2 bed villa was around 800 cheaper.we booked at 10pm on saturday and when i checked on sunday we had the disney reference number and all is booked on the disney website.great service so far,very quick to answer emails even on sundays

Regarding payment, Florida Escapes also included the following in their response.....

We dont charge a credit card fee and the deposit is £50pp with the balance due 12 weeks before travel.
Disney send the paperwork out around 10 days - 2 weeks before travel and we then send onto yourself via Special Delivery.

Sorry to hear that, I would wait another 24-hours and then e-mail again, could be really busying with quotes as we're less than 2-weeks away from the current offer ending of July 1st.

Wonder what the next offer brings, a lower amount on the gift card?

I spent 10 nights at SSR in April/May booked with Florida Escapes. Got free DDP 100 dollar gift card, ultimate tickets and all the other perks you get booking through Disney. Can't fault them to e honest. Best price around that I could find and easy to deal with via email

Well, although earlier this month Florida Escapes replied to my first email enquiry and within 2-days regarding a booking for the Disney free dining offer, they're certainly not on the ball with my second email sent over 3+days ago.

So just like orangetiggs and scoobydooby we've received no response, they've certainly made us think twice about booking with them.

Hope the lack of customer service on this occasion doesn't mean there's bigger problems to come and hopefully it's just a small glitch with their systems.
