Hi all ! Not sure where this post should go so please forgive me.

DH and I are visiting DL in early February. We're planning on spending a few days in Hollywood and are going on the WB Studio tour in Burbank. It's very close to the Walt Disney Studios.

Can we visit the Walt Disney Studios or is not open to the public? I'm sure we could drive by but I wasn't sure if there was a store or anything we could peak into?

It's not open to the public. You can check the D23 event schedule and buy a membership if there happens to be an event there during your trip.

I thought I had read that there was at least a store or something that public could get into. This was our plan for our upcoming Hollywood / DL trip as well.

There is a studio store, but it is definitely not open to the public. In the past, they sometimes opened it in December on a Saturday to the public, but I don't think they've even done that in recent years. So unless you know a Burbank CM, you're out of luck.

You can drive by the main studio gate on Alameda and see the Team Disney Building (which features the Seven Dwarfs):

You can see it from the sidewalk.

You can also see the Animation Building (which houses Feature Animation) on Riverside Drive. It has a big Mickey's sorceror hat in front, which you can also see from the sidewalk.

Have fun!
