WalMart.

I loathe the place. It has NOTHING to do with Unions or Politics. In fact I prefer a non union store over a unionized one. I don't really have the points to spare on a wal mart rant right now but lets just say it's scary on a good day, I don't like the way they bag your mercnandise on a rounder, no low price is worth having to endure that place, the stuff is cheap because it is mostly junk and oh did I mention the people? Their online store service is pretty bad too, no customer service number because they don't want to have to talk to you, it is all done by email so it is impossible to get something handled. I made the mistake of getting a big item from them sent site to store so I have to go to walmart or send my mom in the next week or so. I am reaching for some xanax now just thinking about it and I will shower after I come home.

I just got home from ours LOL. I got Purina cat food, Live Free or Die Hard dvd, 90 kid hangers (love that 1.00/per 10 price), and a book for both Remy and Hol. BTW, they have the American Girl "The Care & Keeping of You" there for 8.38! I spent less than 40.00 which is great for me! If I got that stuff at a pet store, dept store, book store, and Best Buy I would have spent way more...besides having to go to all the different stores and waste more $$ in gas.

I find if you go at 745am (right after I drop Remy off at school) there is hardly anyone there and its in and out. I personally like the store..and not just since my mom works at Sams Club LOL.

We used to shop there all the time ,but we stopped once we sat down and saw what we were buying and how much stuff we have that we don't need.

It seems we were having to rebuy clothing that didn't last, usually shrunk in the wash and our checkbook is much happier. We ended up always spending at least $100 each trip. Usually stuff we didn't plan on buying, but just couldn't pass up because of the price. I really haven't missed it at all.

Plus we decided to try and shop at our town stores as much as we can. I really have a hard time with Walmart and their habit of undercutting small businesses until they drive them out. I want to stand behind my beliefs with my wallet. But on the other hand I can understand people choosing the place because of how far the dollar can be stretched.

Our Walmart is pretty scummy. I do occasionally go in there if I'm looking for something specific, but it's only once or twice a year. My Sam's Club is much better and I'm in there twice a month.

There is a Target directly across the street from the Walmart. Though the prices are only a few cents higher, it's about a million times better. It's clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the people who shop there are noticably more civil.

I like it. A Super Walmart opened around here about one year ago. It continues to be clean, nothing ever on the floor. The cashiers, though, always look like they would prefer to be anywhere else.

I have to agree. I very rarely shop at our local Walmart. I will say that when I was in Florida this summer I did shop at the local Walmart there and it was a very different experience.

I agree also, our WalMarts are NASTY!!! I don't know that it's really WalMarts fault, or if the people who work or shop there are just slobs. You can bet that any time you go the store will be a mess, my dh jokes that you can throw something on the floor and come back days later to see that same item on the floor. I would go to Target or Kroger any day over WalMart(we don't have K-Mart). However; I've been to WalMarts in Wisc. with family and they seem to be different. Also, I've read and checked out that you shouldn't buy WalMart milk because of the hormones in it and any time I try to buy organic (anything) at WalMart, the expiration date is just days away and that upsets me!!!

Well, we perfer Walmart over Kmart in our area. The Kmarts are nasty! I mean it is like a hunt trying to find something. It is so dirty and unkept. However, we also perfer Target over Walmart.
