WalMart toy clearance!

Heads up everyone! I was at my local WalMart today. They were beginning to clearance out TONS of toys getting ready for Christmas . The girl I talked to told me it would all be done my tomorrow morning. Stuff was 50% off today, but the bulk of it would be 75% off tomorrow morning! Christmas gifts, here we come!!

I just got back from 3 Walmarts!!! No toy clearance at any of them. We were looking for the Hanes Tee shirts for our Sept. trip and couldn't find them either.

I just got a Littlest Pet Shop playset. Two days ago it was $29.99. Got it this morning for $7!! They had tons of boy stuff at my WalMarts, cuz that's what they did yesterday. Today, they're doing the girl stuff. They told me it's a weeklong process. Each day, the stuff is supposed to go down an additional 50%. They were pulling down a bunch of Dora and Bratz stuff when I was there, but they weren't scanned as clearance quite yet. He said to come back later today or tomorrow. Think I'll do both!

Ugh. Our walmart is such a total nightmare right now I have vowed to not step foot in it for as long as humanly possible! They are remodeing into a SuperWalmart and it is awful.

I had to go there last night because I wanted plain colored tshirts for DS and Target didn't have any. Figured I would get the school shopping done too and it took me an hour to buy three tshirts, some crayons, folders and glue.

Gives me shivers just thinking about braving it again. I will have to pass up the deals.

I got a Luv Cub for $15. They were $35 last Christmas and I think Walmart had them normally for $28.??. My dd fell in love with my niece's last Christmas. Her birthday is next month and she'll love it.

No toy clearance in the western Chicago suburbs. Hit a couple of Wal-Marts today and nothing in either location.

Anyone else having luck finding these clearance sales? I didn't find them at any of our local stores either.

I checked our local store on the way home yesterday. They are about to remodel, so they had a tent set up in the parking lot with clearance items. I wasn't impressed with the discounts, however. I didn't really see much at more than a third off. Didn't spot any really good toys. Picked up a few school supplies, and that was it.

I haven't had much luck at our two WalMarts. They had the WalMart brand toys 1/2 price and some of the summer stuff marked down pretty good but nothing else. I do know that they did the sales last year because I got a bunch of toys at great prices but there was no rhyme or reason to it. One of our WalMarts would have things drastically reduced and then I would check the other and the same toys would be 30% off. Just keep checking and hope you get lucky.

Each WalMart is responsible for reducing their own merchandise, and at the amount they decide. What a bummer! But remember, they all will have to clear stuff out for Christmas merchandise, and that will happen soon! And it doesn't happen on just one day. In our "little" WalMart, it has been a 4-5 day project. So, if you miss a day when there is a big "hit", chances are the next day will bring more stuff. Just keep your eyes out!
