I just got an email from Walmart about the price discrepancy and they had to cancel the orders but within 5 days they will send a $10.00 egift card

Me too!! But I didn't buy anything that was posted on here. I got the Kane Chronicles boxed set, it was 11.96. I'm not sure if it was cancelled because of wrong price or they didn't have the item? I got a couple of different emails on it.:confused3

I just checked the site. I guess it was a pricing error as these books are now listed for $33!

Out of curiosity, what items besides the Disney Infinity did everyone get for an amazing price? I saw somewhere a treadmill for $33!! Lol

I had ordered a tricycle for $29 and an easel for $12. Several friends ordered double jogging strollers, train tables, play kitchens, etc.

Wjat kind of deal was going on?

It was a glitch in the system for Walmart online. Many items prices were out of whack. I heard some were too high in price while others too low. Just a technical error. Most people that snagged the deals were up very early today and did the site to store and picked it up as soon as it was ready. Most likely the ones that were having the stuff shipped were getting cancellation emails.

My son got excited about the pokemon games that were listed for 18. He was sad when I told him about the glitch.

I picked up an amazing deal! Did in store pick up and was sure that they would deny me when I went last night at 5pm to pick it up, but nope..she smiled and said 'you are finding some great deals lately' and paged 2 stock ppl to come load it for me.

A few weeks ago I was able to get the $29.xx Rachael Ray pan set that was going for around $140reg price. Same person helped me then and remembered me! lol
I know alot of ppl are balking at those of us who were able to get some of the deals. I honestly was only looking for the Diablo xbox game, and didn't think much about the $18.03 price (figuring it was a pre black friday deal or something) until I saw the high end stuff at super low prices!

I simply figured if they didn't want to sell it to me at the prices advertised they would cancel it by the time I went last night, but they didn't so...

Hope some others were able to get some great deals as well!!

I never understand why people go running to these deals that are so obviously mistakes in the system. I wouldn't be gleeful about scoring a 100 dollar item for 10 if I know that was not the intent of the store. Feels very dishonest to me. I am glad that Walmart is at least able to cancel the home ship mistakes.

I am not talking about if you just think it is a sale, but when someone says "walmart has a glitch and treadmills are 33, hurry and order now" it seems like stealing. Just like all those people who took advantage of the unlimited food stamp purchase mistake.

Thanks for the sermon. Do you feel better about yourself now?

And if you read the threads in order, the bit about prices being messed up site wide wasn't posted until hours after the initial post that the DI game was selling for $18.

Was the sarcasm necessary? It's just one person's opinion. It amazes me how bold some people get with the anonymity of the internet.

You are exactly right. The post I quoted was unnecessary and contributed nothing to this thread.

meh, no worries. Obviously you do not follow the deal sites like some. As there is always amazing deals being posted. I hardly ever pay full price for anything. Simply set a setting on the deal sites to alert when there is a deal for particular item and buy at the cheapest price I can find. Really no scam, just buying at the cheapest price provided.
Just last night I bought a pair of Soul by Ludacris headphones on Amazon for $29 reg around $150. Was it a price mistake? I really have no idea. The price seems too amazing to be true however, they are still there for sale as are hundreds of other deeply discounted items on the net.
Honestly, WM (or any other online retailer) doesn't pay me enough to monitor which items they are intending to sell for cheap and which ones they are not.

On the same note Target puts out hundreds of coupons that make items free. I never understood why they would so plainly give items away so easily, however when I go in to get these items and buy a hundred dollars of other things then I immediately get it! Yep they got me, their marketing worked as planned!

Did anyone else get anything at an amazing discount? If not and it was cancelled, I think the OP was just giving a heads up that you may have an e-gift card in your email!!
