We are thinking of going here to get the kids photo cards done and most likely just buy the basic package. I have noticed on thier website that they offer different photo cards then the ones in the studio. I really don't care for the instudio card designs but I really like some of the online only designs. So here is my question will I be able to order them the next day or so online or do I have to wait until I recieved my package? If I have to wait to order them I may have to drive 45 minutes to Sears or JCPenney's.

My Wal-mart finally called me back. Thier pictures are taking 3 weeks to get back for pick up. :earseek: If I want to order the special photo cards off the website I have to wait until I recieve my order. Then it could be another 2-3 weeks to get my photo cards. :earseek: So I called Sears and they are double booked for the next week. JCPenney's can get me in today. So I am going there for the first time. I know I was getting them done later then in the past years. But I could not believe how filled up everything is already.

I used to work in the studio--its best just to order at the time of the pics to get them back. And backin 1999 the pic were running about 3 weeks to get back since they mail out on Sundays. JC Penney does excellent photos and I refuse to go elsewhere---but it does all depend on your photographer. To me--the cutest thing you can do for pics on cards is take the kids out to the snow (if you were lucky to have it)--let them play and snap some pics---snap some of them putting the tree up or baking cookies---showing them doing a "christmas" activity is the cutest on the cards vs the posed fake smile look that is all too common. Hope you have a nice holiday!!!!

I have been to all three- walmart, sears and jcpenney. I think the best quality pictures have been at jcpenney and you can choose so many different holiday cards at the portrait session! my jcpenney here is now offering pictures and cards back in a week! You may want to check your local jcpenneys! also while jcpenney initially seems more pricey compared to walmart, i have found it not to be. for example walmart lures you in with a cheap advertised package but after that additional sheets of another pose will cost a bundle. also, your cheap package is only of your first acccepted pose. on the other hand, jcpenney will take a 8 pictures and you pick the one you want as your package! i always manage to find coupons - i.e. 7.99 portrait package or 3.99 sheets. first child sitting is free, additional people have a 9.99 sitting fee. hope this helps- i love jcpenney portraits! :cool1:
