Yea that pissed me off. All they had was $200 visa gift cards (I think that is the largest amount available there) and each card carries a $7 activation fee so essentially I got $1000 in visa gift cards for $35.

No, just $35. The OP won a $1000 WalMart gift card at work. The $7 is an activation fee for the Visa gift card.

I have a tesla (work car) so gas is not an issue and wife maybe drives 50 miles a week.
