WalMart gift cards for Disney Gift cards...

I have $250 in WM gift cards and almost enough CC points for $400 more. I was thinking I could use these to buy Disney gc's and with a few more we will get from my DH's job (they get them for working with no recordable injuries) , it would almost completely cover our food for our Sept. trip. Has anyone done this? Should I pay in the parks with the gc or charge and pay daily at our resort?

We always cover our food with Disney GC's and yes, I have used WM GC's to buy Disney GC's from both WM and Sam's Club (they sell them discounted there).

We charge daily to the resort and go in every few days to pay off the balance. They will charge whatever is remaining at about 1am on check-out morning so be sure to pay everything off the night before checking out.

you can combine gc on the disney gift card site....easier to carry around 1 than a whole pile of cards in the parks.

I won a $500 Walmart giftcard once from work. Since I do not shop at walmart, I purchased disney giftcards with them. No problem at all.

Target is a little bit different. I always have problems doing this. I once returned a few birthday presents given to my daughter for her birthday since she got multiples of the same thing. They gave me a merchandise credit which is not the same as a gift card. I tried to purchase the disney giftcards with it and they would not allow it until a manager stepped in and overrode it.

Sams club has them cheapest $500 is like 498$ they have smaller packages as well. And they take your wm giftcard

Sam's Club actually has the $500 at $485! It is the best deal. I get all of my Disney gift cards there.
