Walmart Directions

We are going to VWL in two weeks. Can anyone provide directions to the Super Walmart. From a first time DVCer who wants to have some food.....

I've gone there from OKW & BWV, not sure of the easiest way from VWL. The easy way I can think of would be to go straight coming out of WL, past the Polynesian. Turn left at the end of the road, this is World Drive. Follow it to 192 and turn left (it maybe a ramp, not sure), you want 192 East. I'm not sure how many miles it is from there, but it's after the 535 intersection (which is how we get there from OKW), mile marker 14, next to Medieval Times. If you know how to get to Downtown Disney, there's a great new Winn-Dixie down from Crossroads, you take Hotel Resorts Blvd (across from Downtown) to 535, turn left, it's a mile or so down the road on the right. It's closer & cleaner and the prices are as good as Walmart. The front desk should be able to get you a map.

Our last visit we stopped at the SuperWalmart. I announced NEVER AGAIN. The lines, the crowds, YUCK. We left after about 45 minutes and a few groceries (and a headache).

We had a stop to make, and decided to get some ice cream. We went to the Publix right down the road (and actually closer to VWL). AAAAHHHH. Quiet, calm, peaceful. AND their prices were just as good as Walmart's (or the stuff we bought was).

We lived in South Fl for 10 years and always shopped at Publix, a very nice store. Gosh I miss that store .

When DW says she is going to Wallyworld I hide in the closet.We always find the prices at Publix about as good also but I guess it depends on the item.
Have been shopping at Publix since the old college days in Melbourne.Was happy when they built the Publix near VB.
