Walmart close to WDW

Hi
Does anyone have any idea how close or far a Wal-mart would be from WDW? I am looking for a super walmart.
If there is one close...would it better to take a taxi or rent a car?

The closest one would probably be the one on Turkey Lake Road - not far from Universal Studios ... I believe the address is 8990 Turkey Lake Road. As for car or taxi, we usually have a car when we are in Orlando so can't comment on how much a taxi would even cost, but I'm sure it would be cheaper than renting a car if you would only be using it to get to Wal-Mart.

I entered the zip code for Windsor Hills in the Wal-Mart store locator and these are the stores that came up which were closest to WDW. I have been to all of them and find the Highway 27 store the easiest to get to in the traffic.

This is the newsest and closest one. It opened about a year ago and has full groceries. Really easy to get to -- just mapquest it from your hotel.

We get groceries at the one on Vineland Rd. - very easy to get to, just ask one of the cm's at your check in or get directions at the car rental place. If you know how to get to The Crossroads from DTD or OKW, you turn right and it's about 4-5 min. on your right - can't miss it. They have a great Disney section as well for cheap souvies.
We always rent a car, because my Dsis and I took a cab and it cost $40 roundtrip, so for the same price including gas, we rented from the Alamo at the Disney Car Care centre and had the car for 24 hours at our disposal and could stop where we wanted for as long as we wanted. The Alamo van will pick you up at your resort, take you to your car, and then return you to your hotel or wherever you want when you return the car. Check mousesavers.com for rental car codes.

I have been to this one a few times. Easy to get to and park. It is a Supercentre so it has eveything. You can get on Osceola Parkway right by POP.

I too will be going to Walmart the day we land to get snacks, drinks,cereal wine/beer for the room. We are going with some friends (7 in total) so hopefully there is a minivan cab so we can split the cost. I was thinking $40.00 for roundtrip would be worth it... we tossed the idea of renting a car for the day but I just can't be bothered with the whole pick up drop off car process. We will be flying out of Buffalo the night before so we would have bought most of our new clothes then and the Walmart will just be for supplies.
