Walmart & AKV

I usually go to Publix or Target for our groceries but my parents want to go to a Walmart. What is the nearest Walmart to AKV?

Personally, I'd stick with Publix. I know this isn't the answer to your question about location, but the Walmarts in the WDW area are EXTREMELY busy, parking can be difficult, and the one time I went there, it took nearly an hour to get to through the check-out line. I shop WalMart at home. In Florida, I shop Publix. On vacation, time matters.

Edit: And I agree, Publix is much better. Is there some specific thing they can only get at Walmart?

Thanks for the info. I thought that there was one in Clermont that might be closer but we can try this one. I'm pretty sure the one mentioned I've been to before. I think my parents wan to pick up more than groceries so Walmart might save me an extra trip. If there isnt anything in particular they want I will stick with Publix. (A little extra time doesn't bother me since we will be there for 3 weeks.)

Target is right around the corner from AKV, and it's a Super Target with a full grocery section. WalMart is another 4-5 miles down the road.

Clermont is closer to AKV.

Clermont is closer to AKV.

It's a teensy bit closer as the crow flies, but I think it's about the same by road. Also, going to the one on Vineland, you spend a bunch of time on Osceola, which has very few lights until you reach the end of Disney property. Going the other way, you're on Irlo Bronson, which seems to have an endless series of lights that I swear are timed so each one turns red just as you arrive.

Either one is going to be a bit of a hike.

Agreed, Super Target is 7-10 minutes and should have everything anyone would ever need. Either WalMart trip will take 16-20 minutes each way depending on traffic.

I generally dislike Target, but if I'm AKL I make an exception.

you know how to get to the publix or target along US192 West right (they are across US192 - from each other)

just kept going on Us192 - until it ends - you are taking US 27 north to the right side - the Walmart is the first traffic light - there is a Lowes next door to the Walmart. It is about 5 miles from Publix. all but one on US 192.

now if you don't know where the Publix is - just leave AKL/V - at the first traffic light - take a right - (BEFORE the next traffic light) turn left - Black Lake road (if you miss it not a problem it just takes longer on US192) - when Black lake ends go to the right - less than a mile is Publix and Target.
