Wallet for Children

Our family will be going to Disney for the first time this February. Yeah!! My DD3 and DD 5 received Disney Dollars as gifts for their trip. I would like them to have their own wallet or special place to keep their money.

I remember years ago there were velcor type wallets that were very easy to use. Has anyone see them lately or have any other suggestions for kids to store their money?

Not what you asked, but....

For Christmas I went to www.beltoutlet.com and got each of the kids a fanny pack. They're kid sized, with 2 pockets: a large one for sunscreen and sunglasses, and a smaller one that would be good for money.

They came quickly and the prices were great!

My husband (yes, the big kid) just bought a velcro chip and dale wallet off of ebay for 10.00 (I think).

The Disney Store usually has a variety of character wallets with the velcro closing. My two boys got Mickey and Cars wallets. I can't remember what we paid, but they weren't very much. They've held up really well to their abuse.

The Disney Store usually has a variety of character wallets with the velcro closing. My two boys got Mickey and Cars wallets. I can't remember what we paid, but they weren't very much. They've held up really well to their abuse.

Each of my three boys got these for Christmas as an early gift: Pirates, Mickey and Buzz. We paid $2 each for ours. When I was at the Disney Store last, they were on clearance for $1. The nice thing is they have that little chain that attaches to a belt loop, so if it fell out of their pocket (and each did at least once while at Disney) they didn't loose the wallet. The snap does not come off very easily and even the enclosure stays put better than some.

They do also sell Disney character ones at our 0.99 cent store. Not sure how good they are though.

I found red wallets w/ Mickey and Minnie on them at a store called the 99cent Only Store for only $1.00!! Maybe you have one near you? I got them for my kids to carry around their Disney Dollars as well.

I finially found some! Yippee! I found some at the 5 and Below store near me. They had Mickey and also Tink on black and Tink on purple. My DD 3 picked out the back Tink for her and the purple Tink for her sister who is five. They were $3 each. They are velcro and have a spot for change and a few other little cards. They are perfect!
