Of course Wall-E is a Mac and they thanked Steve Jobs... Pixar was his company until Disney bought it!

Pixar still is his company. Jobs became the largest shareholder of Disney when they bought Pixar. And EVE defintely has the apple look to her.

Wasn't Pixar a divison of Lucasarts? I thought I read the George Lucas actually began the company, but sold it off in the late 80's due to financial difficulties.

Yes, from what I understood the difficulties came as the result of a divorce and the fact that the technology of the time hadn't quite caught up with Catmull's vision of what he wanted to do with Pixar.
