Walkway to Magic Kingdom from Contemporary

Where is the walkway to the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary
or how do you get to it?

If it is across the street, does it run parallel to the road? And is
there a cross walk at the road to get to it?

Can you cross the grassy field to shortcut your walk to the maingate?

Honestly, if you follow the monorail track, it'll take you straight there.
Not only that, but you get to be enchanted by what people put on their "Walk Around the World" bricks. (We have one)

We enjoy the walk, and always seem to notice different bricks everytime we take the stroll.

It's not across the street. Go out the door by the arcade (or the door that takes you to the busses) and walk toward MK. Sorry, but it's been a couple years and I don't remember the specifics --- seems like we cut through the parking lot and then met up with the sidewalk. There was a traffic light so we could cross over a road (not the road the MK busses come in on) and continued to follow the sidewalk, which ran close by the MK property. The MK busses were all parked to the left. It took 7-8 minutes from the CR door.
