Walkway from SSR

I noticed on the 2005 SSR site map that a walking bridge goes from SSR to Please Island. I'm sure that if a bridge is in place it would be closer to the far end of West Side. We always enjoyed the walk from Congress Park to Downtown, however, it will be a long walk from other locations on SSR. Is this now in place or is this a mistake in the map?

There is indeed a bridge near the boat dock at SSR. It is used for golf carts to get to the course, but you can walk across it also. It is much faster to use this pathway for the West Side than to walk through all of DTD.

There are two walking routes from SSR to DD. One follows the lake in the Congress Park area and along the roadway to the Marketplace section of DD. The other bridge crosses the canal at the golf course (next to the putting green) and follows around the DD West Side parking area towards Cirque (you can also walk to OKW by tunring right after crossing the bridge).

I'm not aware of any bridge plans to Pleasure Island from the SSR side of the lake- but there are two bridges within DD that lead into Pleasure Island - those have been there since (or so) to the walk to DD as compared to the distance from Congress Park.

If it helps, imagine a giant circle that runs around the lake. If you start at the SSR dock area, you can go towards Congress Park and end up at the DM part of DTD (the big bus stop area), or you can cross the bridge over near the golf course and follow the path to end up near Cirque du Soleil.
