walking/travel within the parks

Disney took out a lot of the benches.
So, if you want to sit for awhile (once boarded,) enjoy the view from the water, and not have to walk from point A to point B...
the Friendship ride is very nice.

Not everything is about saving time.
It's also a big hit with kids, or at least mine really enjoyed it last time. I'm sure we'll do the remaining route at least once this trip just for that reason.

Why would they take away the boats? My family takes them all the time when we visit Epcot, it's a nice relaxing, and often must needed, break time.

I started renting a scooter 15 years ago when I had a disc problem I discovered I wasn’t tired after being in and walking the parks all day. So when my back improved I kept renting them. For the small price I pay for an ECV the quality of my experience is so much better and makes the lg amount I pay for everything else more worth it. Sometimes I leave it at the resort in a short day. Sometimes I park it and walk and just use it to criss cross the park and use it in lines. If you are concerned about the miles rent an ECV

I'd think long and hard before I rented one just to avoid being tired, especially if you have never used one before. It makes moving in the crowds way harder. Having gone with my mom who had to have one or she couldn't have gone at all, I'd never get one just to save my feet or keep from being tired when I'm otherwise 100% healthy and able bodied. That's what breaks are for.
And not even going to address what it's like to deal with the buses. Just can't see doing this so I'm not tired.

I suspected there were a few people that used scooters so they wouldn't have to walk, but I think you are the first person that has ever admitted it!! Hope people like you are in the very low minority. :(

Because all modes of Disney-provided transportation have been discussed and the OP’s concern regarding AK has been addressed, closing.
