We are staying at the RPH during Easter Break. Can you walk to the walgreens from there?

I think iy would be a really long walk. Not too safe either (traffic wise).

:flower: We did it from the PBH. In fact it is all side walk and a crossing that is safe. There is a TGIF and a Cracker Barrel behind that. The hotels do not want you to know this because they don't want your business off their grounds. I would recommend only doing this during the daylight hours. You will see other people doing the same thing, in fact people from hotels across from Universal walk right into the park that way.( the road is Kirk -something road) We did go to the McDonalds that was behind the PBH. (We have a 10 year old son) I don't recommend that. Grossly over priced and the service and food was terrible. We ate at Cracker Barrel one night and the food was priced the same as where we live and the service was good. It felt great to get a home cooked meal and not be gouched. Any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them if I can. Lisa

From the RPR, the walk is too long, as it is on the other side of IOA. You can do it, but it will take 30 minutes. It's the equivalent of walking all the way from the RPR to the parking garage (about 20 minutes), then going across the street (another 10). If it's just you and the spouse, then yes, but if dragging kids, no.

However, you can walk from the HRH, and the PBH, it's about a 15-20 minute walk depending on where you are going. Yes, it's 10 lanes of traffic to cross, it can be done, just need to run across the street and pay attention.

From the RPR, you can walk to Wet N Wild and there is a restaurant across from that, it's about a 20 minute walk over a bridge.

If you are coming in a limo, have them stop at Publix before checking into your hotel. Most will make a 15 minute stop as a perk for using them. I tell people to rent the car for the week, that way you can go anywhere, when you want.

If u leace through main entrance then head for valet parking u cut through a bush area then across road it 10 min walk to Walgreens and so long as u are careful its not risky at all we did this a number of times in holiday in january

OMG! lol what could be so important that you need to go through all that to go to Walgreens on vacation?
I say this in the nicest tone of course <g>.

Its a simple walk down a path to I-D if u don't drive its the quickest way and if u stay in Britain its a much more longer walk to go to the local shops sorry if i seem offended but to be honest i am sick of people being critical of others when someone asks a ? I see no reason in posting unless u are offering advice other than critism and perhaps it's y this board has become so quite recently as so many are leaving it in droves

It's possible, I guess, but I sure wouldn't want to walk it. It's a long walk.

Who was being critical??????? If you saw my lol, I ceratinly was bing critcal, neither was anyone else. I just didn't see it as being that easy from RPR. It takes a good 20 minutes just to walk to PBH from RPR.
Leaving in droves?

I apoligize if I was over sensitive my point is its only a little over 10 mins by the shortcut and if someone is going to walk it its the quickest way my comment on leaving in droves stands the Universal part of DIS used to be pretty active on 1 page now u can see at least two days threads so something must be wrong as this used to be the primary source of info on Universal

Is it any longer than from Beach Club Resort to MGM? Some people think that this is a long walk but we enjoy it.

I would only do it in the daytime as well. We had a little encounter with some of the local mutants in the Checkers parking lot one evening.
