Walking to Hometown Buffet?

Hello all,

I am going to be at DL from May 31st through June 5th. We already have everything booked and are going to be staying at the Travelodge Anaheim International Inn on Harbour Blvd. On the hotel overview on the Travelodge website, it shows Hometown Buffet as one of the 'nearby' restaurants, but when checking the address, it is 1630 West Katella Avenue, so doesn't appear to be too close. Would this be within walking distance? By that, I mean, within a 25-30 min walk. We are really fond of this place back at home. As a 2nd question, would it be closer just to walk there from Disneyland? Seems to be quite a walk even from there.

Any information will be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks!

Maybe you can MapQuest it. That might help. It will tell you exactly how far away it is.

Thanks kimkatmom! Good suggestion...I tried that and it shows 1.93 miles from the hotel and 2.16 miles from Disneyland (a 5 minute drive - would be nice, but NO CAR!!! :confused3 ).

Hmm...doesn't seem too bad...probably a good 1/2 an hour.

I assume you'll be utilizing ART to travel between your hotel and Disneyland? Anyone know if the $3/day charge for that can be applied to any of the ART lines? Because if so, you might be able to get partway to Hometown Buffet using the bus. Worth a shot anyway!

Hmm...true true...yes, they do offer the Shuttle Service...I believe for my hotel it is $5 per person...that's a good point though, but I'm not sure if they would take you anywhere else other than the 2 stops (hotel and DL). That would be great if they could just drop us off at the corner of Katella and Harbor...I would be fine w/ that!

It's a good 30 minute walk from DL, much longer from the Travelodge.

I wouldn't bother with it. Hometown Buffet is like every other buffet restaurant out there. You can get better food for comparable prices at many closer places.

About 6 years ago I walked from the best western (pavillions?) to the store next to the hometown buffet. My 2 year old was sick and we didnt have a rental car. It seemed like a very, very long walk!

There is bus that runs down that street. It not one of the art buses, but a regular city bus. Or call cab if you really want to go!
