walking tape

[Obsessed w/Disney in OH]

What tapes/CD do you listen to while walking? I am trying to be very religious about vigorously walking for 20 minutes every evening. Sometimes, when there's a lot on my mind, I have plenty to think about. Sometimes, I just spend the whole time thinking how much I hate exercise!

I could use some motivation. Any suggestions??

I HAVE to listen to music while I am exercising or I think I would go crazy! I bought an MP3 player when I got serious about walking/jogging and downloaded all of my cds onto our computer. Now I can make a different "mix" for everyday. I never get bored and I can tailor the music to my mood, as well as the exercise. Slower for when I am getting started to warm up and faster during the middle stretch. By using the MP3 player I am able to listen to a mix of all of my cds instead of just one and it works out great for me! It was a worthwhile investment. I don't remember the exact price but it was less than $75.00.

i listen to CDs while jogging and sometimes walking. My favs include:

Mannheim Steamroller - Meets the Mouse (disney music)

Walking to the Classics - paced at 4.0 or 4.5

SHAPE magazines Fitness CDs - I have the 70s one

I listen to christian music otherwise so ones that are fast paced for most all songs like SonicFlood - Sonic Praise; Michelle Tumes - Dream; Songs4Worship; etc

I sometimes listen to music, but mostly when I walk I listen to books on tape. I love to read, but don't have much time for it anymore, so this works out really well. There have been a few times when I have been so engrossed in a book that I'm back home before I realize it!
