It is often said that Walt drew upon his time in Marceline for the inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. We visited Marceline late on a Saturday afternoon.

Great blog post. Thanks for the one about the Laugh-O-Gram studios in KC, too.

When you consider the depth and amount of material that the Walt Disney Company has archived, going back nearly 100 years, I find it curious that there has not been any, or enough, interest by the company to purchase and preserve properties related to Walt's childhood and the birth of the company.
