Walking from Hilton to Downtown Disney?

My brother and his family are staying at the Hilton in the Downtown Disney area. He will not be renting a car and is relying on the bus transportation offered by the Hilton to and from the parks. Can he easily walk from his hotel to Downtown Disney? On Google Earth, it looks like he'll have to cross a highway. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

The Hilton is within easy walking distance to Downtown Disney. There is not a highway between, but there is a major busy street. However, plenty of people walk this from the nearby hotels and there is a crossing for pedestrians. He will not have a problem.

The Hilton and the Buena Vista Palace are the two hotels closest to DTD. It's a 5 or so minute walk depending on how long the pedestrian crosswalk keeps you waiting.

Can't get lost although do pay attention to where you enter DTD because there are a lot of exits out of DTD and you want the one that heads you in the direction of the Hilton.
