Hi,

I'm doing Discovery Cove tomorrow morning and I am curious if it is possible to walk from DC to Seaworld. What is the most common way to get there if you do not have a car-because we are staying in Disney.

Thank you!

No. First, DC and Sea World are on opposite sides of the street, and I don't remember seeing any crosswalks. Plus, that's the Parkway, and very busy.

There is a free shuttle between SeaWorld and DC. I saw a big van for DC when I was at SeaWorld. Leaves and Picks Up at SeaWorld where the other hotel shuttles (big buses) and I Drive Trolley do their pick up and drop offs. Short walk to the park from the buses area.

I would call DC and ask or when at DC ask for shuttle to SeaWorld. Not sure where the pick up, drop off is at DC. We drove there as DC has free parking.

Have a great time. My kids love it so much they think it should be a yearly visit.

Is it possible to park for free at Discovery Cove and take the shuttle to Sea World?

Just trying to figure out how to save on parking, as we have tickets that allow us to come and go for 14-days, but paying the parking price for several days can get costly....

Probably not. I know you get special badges for your day at Discovery Cove. I would imagine that each passenger is asked to show his or her Discovery Cove badge before they board the shuttle.

I would think you cannot. I am sure they would ask for your DC tickets for that day if using shuttle.

However, if you think you will be parking that will cost more than $40 plus tax, Discovery Cove has a preferred parking pass to all the Busch parks, that gives you unlimited free parking for 14 days from date of picking up the pass (no valet). I purchased the pass by calling DC and picked up the pass when I checked in at DC. Used it without issue for 2 days at SW, 2 days at Aquadica and 2 days at BG. I think parking otherwise was $12 or $15 a day. If you hold onto your receipt, can re-enter that day without paying again.

That sounds like what we need. Is Discovery cove the only place to get that pass that is good for 14 days? Or could we get it when we go to Aquatica or SW or BG? Can we buy the preferred parking pass online - ahead of time?

Yes, I bought mine ahead of time. However, I think you can only add it as part of your discovery cove package. I had to pick it up at DC before I went to the other parks. I couldn't figure out how to do it online, but when I was on the DC website checking to make sure the time for our day about 2 weeks or so before I left for Orlando, I saw the note about preferred parking. I called the telephone number on the website and the agent took my credit card info. About 8:15am, I went to the Discovery Cove, and just went up to the check in building and asked for my pass. They gave it to me and I left to drive over to SW (it's literally right across the street). Discovery Cove is open before the other parks, around 8am, so it wasn't a problem to be at rope drop at SW (where were were going that day and was opening at 9am, when we were there, Aquadica was open at 9am and BG was open at 10am).

We are not going to Discovery Cove, so it looks like we can't get it. But, I'll call to ask anyway! Can't hurt to ask.

I guess just a bunch of one-day parking passes is what we'll have to do. Annoying that they don't give you the option of buying parking when getting the multi-park tickets that are good for 14-days.

Thanks for the info!
