walking from cr to mk

I debated which board to put this under, so I chose this one since it involves a resort. We'll be having breakfast at Chef Mickey's before heading into MK. My question is this: how long is the walk from the resort to the entrance to MK? Shorter than the monorail? (especially if you include waiting in line for the monorail? Does the monorail leave CR and head directly to MK or does it hit all the other monorail resorts first?)

Thanks, I want to be as near the turnstiles at opening as possible!

The walk from the tower (where CM is) to MK is appx 8 minutes. The monorail would be longer as it is a loop that leaves Cont and goes to Poly and Grand Floridian before going back to MK. On the way out of MK though, Cont. is the first stop.

Kerri it would be faster to walk I think. The Momorail stops at the TTC and then the Poly and the GF before getting back to the MK. It is about a 7 to10 min walk from the front door. I like riding the monorail though.

We were very surprised at how short the walk was. It took us 7-8 minutes (with 3 kids) to walk over to MK. It's a very nice walk - we actually chose to do that several times over taking the monorail and making the stops at the other resorts.

Bellman told me 7 minutes and 7 minutes it was!

We actually enjoyed the walk.

Much closer walk than Boardwalk to Epcot (my opinion).

Hi Kerri!!!!

The walk is short as mentioned and it takes you right past Tomorrowland and the resort buses. The anticipation of a day in MK makes the walk lots of fun!

Of course, riding into MK on the monorail is something not to be missed as well. There's nothing like that bird's eye view of MK as you arrive. The wait for the monorail is not long at all.

Whichever choice you decide, have fun!!

It is a very nice and easy walk. We've done it many times.

It's also a great path for a "power walk". (no, I don't RUN to the MK, just walk fast!!! )
