Walking from BLT & 1/2 Marathon

Booked BLT LV last weekend for my FIRST Princess 1/2 Marathon in Feb. Thought this would be best to get family over to castle to "hopefully" see me go around. I understand it is about mile 5. We have stayed at BLT but never walked over. Is it an "easy" walk? I don't think the monorail will be running early enough for family to take it over. I'm thinking it will be around 7 a.m. Any advice on walking over OR 1/2 is welcome! Thanks.

The walk is easy and will take 5-10 minutes. I recommend walking. It is faster than the monorail because when you take the monorail to MK you first walk to contemporary, then take nearly the whole loop.

it's an easy walk - and better to do this than any other location - during marathons there are road delays - but during marathon weekend we easily walked over to mk w/no delays

The map is a bit old (pre-BLT), but will still give you a good idea of how easy and short the walk will be. BLT was built in the parking lot between the tennis courts and the Contemporary Resort. There is a stop light with a walk signal to help you cross the road the buses use to get to the resort bus stops for the MK.

We will be at the Princess also! Staying at BCV to be close to the Finish line! Plan on heading to MK after the race begins on the monorail to get some Pics of DW and SIL and the rest of their fellow LLL runners when they reach the castle. Hopefully I can get there on time!

My 4yo and 7yo did it easily... Once you get through the parking lot area, it's actually a pleasant stroll. We'll be there for the marathon, so we will cheer you on! Good luck!

I am running the Princess too! We are staying at BCV though then moving over to BLT to finish our trip. The walk from BLT to MK is so quick and simple! We love the location because of the walk. It would take you longer to get over to CR and get onto the monorail then walking would take (plus with the monorail you have to make the whole resort loop)!!
