Walking East through Toy Story Parking Lot

I just made some reservations at the Staybridge Suites on Manchester for next summer. Since I'm not familiar with that area, I was doing some experiments using GOOGLE MAPS to find recommended walking routes from the Staybridge to a couple of restaurants.

Surprisingly (at least to me), Google Maps seems to think that it is possible, from the Staybridge, to take a shortcut through the Toy Story Parking lot. For example, check out the following route from the Staybridge to Ruth's Steakhouse (assuming Google Maps allows the type of link I am attempting):

Does anyone know if it is possible to take a shortcut through the Toy Story Parking Lot as indicated on the map? I was assuming it would be necessary for us to take either a taxi or an ART shuttle from the Staybridge to Disneyland. But, if the above walking route is possible (or, alternatively, a similar route South to Gene Autry Way instead of North to Katella), then it may be feasible to walk from the hotel to the Toy Story lot, and catch a bus from there. A fairly long walk, of course, but doable.

On the numerous times I've taken the Toy Story bus, I've never seen pedestrians walking through the parking lot as indicated, so I kind of think that the indicated route is not allowed.

Has anyone tried walking the route recommended by Google Maps???

Not sure about the route indicated but I do believe you can walk through the cast member's lot directly to Katella, then east on Katella to your hotel. I've never used ART but it looks like ART route 12 stops right there on Katella and Clementine, across from Garden Walk, and then takes you to/from Staybridge and the other hotels on Manchester.

if you go to street view on Haster St, it looks like there is an access gate at that corner of the lot. I've stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites around the corner a few times and have driven by there. I don't think that I've ever seen it open.

same, ive never seen that gate open either.

OP: i do suggest walking up harbor instead of going through those parking lot. one, theres a lot of cars going in and out through that gate. two, its a scary walk through the parking lot... haha

Thanks for your comments, everyone. After using street view to look at the Hastor Street entrance, I agree that the entrance cannot be used by pedestrians.

According to Google Maps, the walk from the Staybridge to the loading area of the Toy Story lot (using the Katella entrance) is 1.0 miles. A walk from the hotel to the IHOP across from the Disneyland entrance, using a curved route along Manchester, then Disney Way, is only 1.3 miles, so I've concluded that using the Toy Story shuttle to save 0.3 miles of walking isn't worth it.

I've only used ART on one occasion, during a stay at the Comfort Inn mentioned by Gary1955, and I wasn't satisfied with the service. I found that using ART to go to Disneyland at opening worked out OK, but by noon it was impossible to predict pickup times at either the hotel or Disneyland with any accuracy. It seemed like, later in the day, we were always waiting at least fifteen minutes for a shuttle. As I understand it, there is now a phone app which is updated with ART shuttle pickup times for the various routes, although since we never carry phones while at Disneyland, we can't make use of that.

I think what we'll end up doing is using ART if we plan on making more than one return trip during a particular day, and just grab a taxi otherwise. One day ART passes for the four of us would cost $20, and taxi fairs to and then back from Disneyland probably wouldn't cost much more than that.
