In amongst the baked beans and the detergent, a couple are marrying in an Asda supermarket in York today!

Since they met in the supermarket, they decided to have their wedding there! She is a cashier and he a customer, and it was love at first sight across the checkout

I wonder if the wedding guests will be doing their shopping whilst they are there ?

LOL - how fun !!! Isn't that the sweetest thing and so original?

I almost am jealous - as when I was in one of my single modes I used to go to the supermarket all the time in the hope of finding a new bloke, apparently it was the in place, I used to stalk men shopping on their own to see what was in there basket and whether it looked to be they were shopping for just one or two ::sigh:: but I never had any luck - I ate well though

I have a lovely image of you stalking the men around the supermarket!

I always have a look at what the people in front of me at the checkouts have in their trolleys and then imagine what sort of lives they live - sad, I know, but it keeps me amused!

How very sad. Getting married in Asda. The least they could have done was to go up market and go to Waitrose !

Awwww Sid I think that's a matter of opinion - Asda obviously meant a lot to them obviously that's where they met I think it's romantic that they get married there

At least this way they'll be starting their marriage in the right way looking after the pennies so that the pounds look after themselves. That "rollback" is too good to be true sometimes

Well I met my wife at the village fair. I don't think getting married on the dodgems would be at all romantic ! I thought the church was much better. Nowadays you can get married anywhere you like, and I can think of far better places.

So which aisle are they getting married in ? By the frozen chickens ? Not very romantic. So how about by the curry sauce to symbolise their firey relationaship ? In the fresh food section, because they feel fruity ? By the bread, because they're broke ? I can think of so many other places. In the biscuit aisle because they're crackers !
