Is it a pleasant walk from Jambo House to Saana and vice versa? I am leaning toward going back to AKL on our next trip (originally had BWI in mind), and would love to try Saana for dinner. We love to stroll after a nice meal.

It's a fairly short walk from Kidani to Jambo; about 5-10 minutes. There's a shuttle I believe that will take you but when we stayed there we never used it as the walk was so short. The only issue would be if it's raining of course. It's not very scenic however- mostly parking lot and bus stop.
ETA: I would walk around outside of the back of Kidani if you're looking for a nice after meal walk. It's beautiful back there.

When we were there, the staff encouraged us to take the shuttle because of the "long" walk. After dinner, we walked back. At a leisurely pace, it took under 10 minutes.

We love the walk - the plants are pretty, the lizards are abundant, and the birds are plentiful, too. It IS wide open concrete and parking lots - so in the heat of the day, it can be uncomfortable. But, it's a quick walk. The shuttle is nice, too :)

Thanks all! I figured it would be fine to walk, but I wasn't sure if there was no path/sidewalk and Disney made you take a shuttle. We will be going in December, so I would hope it will be a nice stroll in the moonlight (even if it is the generated-by-Disney moonlight!).

I measured it once and I think it was 1/4 mile or a bit more. There ARE sidewalks.

I believe there are about 10 city blocks to a mile. If it's .25 miles that's about 2.5 blocks, doable for anyone without a physical limitation. :)

Is it a flat pathway? my mom will be in a wheelchair and I would rather push her then wait for the shuttle, load her, and wait for everyone to get off. I just want to know if I will be pushing up/down hills.

Yes, it is largely flat the whole way

Yes, it's wheelchair friendly. It's very pleasant as long as the weather is decent.
