Tried searching this forum, but couldn't find the specific answer I'm looking for. Let's say I have a 7-day reservation I want to book, but I'm going to need to borrow some points from the next UY to fill that reservation. If I walk it, do I need to borrow more points than I really need, or will member services cancel the first day and book the last day as one transaction (effectively freeing up the points from the first day and using those to book the second day)?
For a concrete example, let's say I want a Wed-Wed reservation which costs 200 points, but I only have 150 points (and borrow 50 from the next year). Weekday night is 25 points. If I book Tues-Tues and borrow 50 points, when I try to walk it to Wed-Wed, am I good with the 50 points I borrowed or do I need to borrow another 25 points to get the 8th day, then free up 25 points when I release the 1st day (which I would then need to bank or use)?
