DW an I like to take about a 30 minute brik walk each day. We were trying to think if there were any paths at AKL that would work. WE couldn't think of any, but until now, we have only been there for dinner.
One reason I've never stayed at AKL is that I don't see any way to go for a walk around or away from the resort without getting in your car.WE couldn't think of any, but until now, we have only been there for dinner.
I love AKL except for this one issue -- there is no place to go for a good brisk walk. So I think you are probably correct that our best bet is going to be the walk between buildings! It won't be the prettiest walk but at least there will be some kind of path we can use.I know that when Kidani opens, we will have that 2500 ft walk to the lodge.

One of the reasons that AKL was only a short term destination in my eyes. If I travel to FL in the winter, I want to be outdoors!According to the AKV FAQs page on the public DVC website, that will be the walking distance between the main entrance of Kidani and the main entrance of Jambo House.Where has everyone read about this walk? Based on what I saw, I think part of Kidani will be far closer than that.![]()

Yes, so as you said in your previous post, the walking distance will be shorter if you are staying at the end of the building near Jambo House.I can understand that as it appears the main entrance of Kidani House will be at the middle of the inverted three doesn't it? Or I guess more accurately at the head of whatever animal's horns it is supposed to represent.
I hope there is some sort of walking path on the property. It is the one thing I miss whenever we stay at AKL, especially after a meal at Boma!Oh, and once Kidani opens, perhaps there will be a walking trail on the pool/parking side of the property. That would be one more reason to think AKV was planned all along.

strange I've never had any problem getting enough walking at WDW...usually end up with blisters as a matter of fact...HMMM![]()
Anyway, I agree. Right now the only walk is interior hallways or around and around the pool.![]()
It's not outside, but it will help with the Boma problem.
