Hi
i am looking to purchase 2 way radios for disney and i was wondering what the best kind would be to get that arent very expensive? has anyone ever used the motorola disney 2 way radios? if so were they any good in the parks?

thanks

Motorala are the best 2-way radios. I'm not sure what model the Disney ones are. The main thing you wan to look at is that it gets at leat 14 channels. The cheap ones only have 8 channels so everyone is on 1 - 8 and there is alot of interference. The 14 channel one also have sub channels so you can lock into channel 10.2 and not get that much interference.
The other thing to look out for is the range. You want a range of at least 2 miles. Anything over 2 miles you will need to get a FCC liscense for. Those would be much better but may be a little hassle to get the liscense.
So price wise, if your looking for cheap. Get at leat a Motorala with 14 channels and 2 mile range.
Even if you go with high end models you will may still get some interference, so you just need to work around moving channels to find a good one that nobody's on.
Hope that helps.

We got the disney Motorola talk abouts .. with Mickey and donald et al.. worked fine on the Magic..

The Disney ones are the 2 mile,14 channel with subchannel ones. That's all you need. They worked very nice in the parks. Havn't brought them on the ship, yet.
