We're headed to DW for a quick trip in April and just booked with the DDP. What are our chances, just DH and I, of walking up to LeCellier or O'hana and getting a table?

I would say extremely slim to none. Your best bet would probably be to get to Le Cellier as soon as it opens for lunch, and then maybe you'll have a chance. You could always keep checking for your dates though, someone may cancel.

That's what I thought. I've been looking at least 2-3 times a day, LOL. I'll just keep trying. You never know, right?!?! :)

I've seen more people turned away at Le Cellier than anyplace else. Keep trying to get that ADR!

I would try making reservations. My DD and I are going for a weekend in April with my friend and her DD. Just this week she was able to make reservations for both Cinderella's castle and Le Cellier.

You never know but probablity a walk-in or cancellation are low. People do book more than one restaurant for a dining time and never cancel the other one creating no-shows. Disney also over books, to counter these types of trends. Even then, you will not be the only one trying a walk-in...getting one now is the best option but cancellations would most likely be picked up by another future guest due to the probabilities factor of the systems reservation traffic...You have selected two of the most over-hyped restaurants on property - good luck - you might check into the Luau or Hoop De Doo Dinner shows as an alternative if you are having trouble getting some TS ADRs

Have you looked at off times. I was recently able to get LeCellier for 2:00 in May. Nothing for dinner, but I keep looking. Either way, since it's just DH and I we will adjust our meal times to make it work. Eat a late breakfast, grab a snack later in the evening instead of dinner, ...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: in june a "local" was in front of us when we arrived there for our ADR and said he had been calling and could not get in for dinner...........asked them what he should do..........they said, and i quote, "call six months in advance"

Even with a reservation your chances feel slim at Le Cellier!pirate:

If you go to O'hana at opening time and ask, they may suggest a time to return, but that's not a guarantee.

We have gone now to Le Cellier 5 times in the past 5 trips. I have never seen at this restaurant a walk-up have any success getting in. Last October we could only manage a lunch time but the muchroom filet was just as good. When there during lunch it didn't seem crowded, many tables were open, so we thought this filet is so good lets cancel one of our other ADRs later in the week and make a ADR after our lunch while we were there. We went up to where you check in and asked what times they would have open later in the week and they had nothing at all. Now that same week we had ADR's for Chefs de France and they were taking every walk-up that I saw, so check there if you need a TS.
O'hana they are very busy, remember you don't have to have a park ticket to eat there, many people may eat there that don't even intend to go to the parks or to the park that day.
The 2 hardest places to book an ADR IMOP are Le Cellier and O'hana.

I agree with the others, I think your chances are slim to none as a walk up. People have reported some success at 'OHana right at opening, but it is rare. YOu have chosen two of the most sought after ADR's.
Good Luck

This question always makes me recall one May trip waiting in front of Le Cellier when a couple came up and asked when would be the soonest time they could get in to eat and the person at the podium replied "August."

Keep trying for a reservation. Try after you get there. Ask your resort lobby concierge to check for openings.

Priceless...........................:)

We walked up with a party of 6 in July and were seated in 10 minutes! Must have been luck!

being a veteran of both WDW and Le Cellier i find that hard to believe. of course i must, why would anyone make that up..........................................

I know this is out of the ordinary but DFi and I were there in Dec and had reservations for 7:05 at Le Celliar. It was our last day there and we were worn out by 4:00 and Epcot was really busy so we decided we would take a chance and see if they would take us any earlier. At first the hostess said there was no openings but then said she would see what she could do and they ended up seating us 5 minutes later:cool1:. They probably wanted to free up the prime meal time but it worked for us.

I go to Ohanas the day of arrival and on our last night before heading home. for the last 4 years on my visits i have not been able to get a reservation by calling ahead, but on EVERY occassion i was able to get a table walking up and putting my name in and i was seated with in an hour on every occasion, take my advice pick the night that you want to go walk up and you'll be seated. there are so many people that book advanced dining reservations that do not keep them since there is no credit card deposit required. We are a party of 5 for some additional information. Also while you wait you can take a walk around the resort or sit by the pool.

Also note the trips have been during busy times as well during spring break for the kids.

Enjoy your meal and have a good time.

We travel school vacation week in April and the 1st year it was a fairly last minute trip (planned about 6-8 weeks in advance) and I couldn't get ADRs anywhere. I wasted tons of time calling, spent a lot of time stalking the cancellations thread on here and got the same grim advice in response to my "should we try walk-up" post.

However, we have NEVER been turned away and mainly rely on walk-up now, We do make some adrs, but more often than not we just walk-up.

We start our day very early so we don't mind doing dinner early. The key is to get there when they open. I should also note that we were a party of 3. It would be harder with a large group.

Good luck!
