Walk up timing?

I have a question for those who have done walk-up waitlist. I see that they use geo-tagging in order to allow you to join, but is there a way to join for a certain time? I have my eye on a couple restaurants we might want dinner at but I don’t want to join, say at 2pm and be seated right then. I ask because I’ve seen some fill up as early as noon. I’d love to be able to join CRT on our MNSHHP night for a 5pm, but I feel like that’s a long shot!

Best advice I can give is look the night before or the day of and you will likely find something however it may not be the exact time you want... If you want a specific time it is far better to stalk for an ADR especially on a party night MK will get very crowded with normal guests still there and party ticket holders arriving.

That’s my plan - I have been stalking and the most annoying part of this - when I booked my dining at 60+ I was tripping over CRT. But my husband didn’t necessarily want that one. But our plans for both Narcoossee’s and Kona were foiled, so this the hunt began. We have one reservation per day for our trip, so at least there is that. Two of my kids would simply eat bread and fries the entire time and be thrilled.

For walkup, you don't really get a say in when. Some places I've gotten in right away, others were come back in an hour. But nothing I could pick. Walkups are all about what's leftover.

I did find when joining the virtual waitlist it gave an estimate in time that was pretty accurate the few times we used it. Not sure if that is a coincidence because we only used it a few times which isn't exactly a large sample size.

You cannot pick your walk-up time. If there are wall-ups open, it will give you an estimated wait time and that’s it.

Basically its all about luck... sometimes walk ups have worked out great for us...other times they weren't

Just thinking you are looking at a VERY popular restaurant on a very busy night. Many book it that early because they are not going to the party but want that extra time to dine in the park.

I just glanced at CRT to see the Walk-Up List and at 8:50 am it is already at capacity.

I would have a plan B (and C).

Oh, I am not counting on getting the walk up — know it’s a popular restaurant (we’ve been before) so I do have plans B and C. I also noticed it was at capacity today before 9 but on Sunday, all three restaurants I was considering for dinner for my upcoming trip arrival day (also a Sunday) had walk up available. But because I don’t like my luck in Disney, I won’t cancel anything I currently have to leave it to chance. I am more annoyed with my non-planning family members for talking me out of booking it in the first place!
