walk-up at Tony's?

Has anyone ever gotten a table for dinner without a reservation at Tony's? Is it an insanely long wait? I currently have a reservation for lunch there on May 31st for two of us. But I'm thinking I'd rather go there for dinner so my whole family can join us (making us a party of 8). There aren't any online reservations available for dinner, but I'm going to keep checking. I just wanted to know what people thought about just walking up and asking for a table as a back-up plan. Thanks.

Without an ADR, even Tony's is always a crapshoot. Probably a better shot than Le Cel, but certainly no guarantee. And for 8, Unless you're dead set on Tony's, there are about 25 places within monorail/boat from MK that would work. Last Sept we got an ADR for Grand Floridian Cafe for 7 3 days before we ate there during free dining. Kona Cafe often has openings. NOw wouldn't you rather be sure your family could eat together in a nice place than spend 4 weeks worrying and hoping? I sure would.

Last time we went we did a walk-up to Tonys. We went right when it opened up for dinner which was 4pm. We had about a 15 min wait and they got us right in. I know kinda early but worked for us.

We always go in May and always make ADR's. Sometimes we saw walk-in's get in, sometimes they were turned away. You never know unfortunately.

We went on the Friday before Easter around 5:00 and got in in about 10 minutes.

We have tried for years to get a walk in at Tonys and have always been turned away.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I think I am going to give up Tony's and try to find a table-service for all of us for dinner somewhere nearby. Then if Tony's opens up, fine, but if not I know we will have a place to eat as a family regardless.

I've walked up to Tony's and asked for a table for 2 and got it. This was at the end of Sept thou. And it was only for a table for 2. With 8, i dont think you'll have any luck at all. Sorry. And to be honest, the food there is awful. I would look elsewhere.
