Finally was able to see Walk the Line last night. Joaquin Phoenix WAS Johnny Cash. I hope he gets an Oscar for Best Actor. His parents were outstanding, also. What a great movie. I was glad to see that it was completely packed, too. Not a seat available.

Vivian was played by Memphian Ginnifer Goodwin, plus most of the extras and band members were from here too. They filmed alot of the movie here, and I never did get to see Joaquin in person!

I wasn't a big Johnny Cash fan, but this movie wowed me! I can't believe that Reese and Joaquin sang! They were excellent.

I saw it on Saturday. Excellent movie! It gets two thumbs up from me.

We saw this Friday night, 13 of us and we all liked it. Even my 15 yr old nephew who had 0 interest in seeing it really enjoyed it and he didn't have a clue who Johnny Cash was. Phoenix deserves the Oscar, hands down. I forgot that I was watching an actor playing a role. Either Roeper or Ebert said that Phoenix was "channeling the spirit of Johhny Cash".
